Vehicle Detail

For sale is my prized 1992 Mercedes 500SEL with just 62K miles on it. I purchased this car as a vehicle to enjoy on weekends and highway trips and it has performed magnificently. The day I bought it in California I drove it to Memphis, TN. It was a joy to glide across america in this luxury ride. It is smooth, poised and stable. It also went on a few getaways to beaches in Florida without out a problem. Eventually a leak in a transmission cooling line meant a rebuild of the transmission. This means you get a transmission with fewer than 7k miles on it. I have also had new brake pads all around and new rotors put on it. The car functions well, drives like a dream and has been reliable. There is a nickel sized ding and a smaller, less than penny sized, ding on the front passenger side of the hood (see pictures). The leather is in excellent shape as is all of the wood trim. The dual heat/ac works well, ice cold air!, as does all the heated seats (front and rear). I am reluctantly selling due to a life style change, now married with a new baby and dogs I am exclusively driving baby/dog haulers and this vehicle no longer suits my needs. Well, it could, but this newborn baby would destroy the perfect interior and I can't let that happen. I have enjoyed this "el-presidente" but will now be driven to my gin palace in a minivan I guess. Serious enquires only If you type "Old Top Gear 1991 - Mercedes S-Class" into youtube search you can find a great video reviewing this model when it first appeared On Jan-03-12 at 07:25:24 PST, seller added the following information: In the interest of full disclosure, I was checking all systems and noticed that a regulator for the rear driver's side power window appears to have gone out. This is common in older benz models. There are DIY instructions for the fix available online, it does look like something a DIYer would be able to tackle. Also, the automactic power close assist function for the doors does not work, all power locks work, just the pump for the power close assist has bit the dust. This was not working when I purchased the car. It is a nice feature, but not necessary. Again DIY instructions are available online. I don't have time to get to it or I would fix it for you.
