Vehicle Detail

This is a 1952 Chevrolet Limo that a customer brought in about 10 years ago. It ran and drove then but he wanted us to put a rebuilt carburaor on it and repair a leaking exhaust manifold which we did. We parked it outside and it has been there ever sine. The Style No. is 52 1263. The Body No. is N 369. I know that means it was manufactured in Norwood, Ohio, but the style number '63' does not come up in my limited search. A style '62' is a station wagon but I have not found a '63' or a build sheet on it and I really don't know where to look for it. The previous owner tells me it was an 'airport limo'. Underneath the car, the frame looks like a factory job and I believe this might be a limited edition vehicle. but I don't know yet. I bought it from him in an effort to clean up the lot and 'lo and behold', it fired right up with a little priming of the carb. That old 235 c.i., 6 cylinder sounds great and it doesn't smoke. I put some new gas in the tank and blew it thru the lines and it looks and smells bad. As long as you put gas to it, it runs and you can engage the clutch and start to pull off. It will need the tank dropped and cleaned out and maybe the fuel pump replaced. I called NAPA and the pump was available for $32.50. It will need a battery as well and the brake resevoir is empty. The nice thing is that this car has no major rust and no holes anywhere I can see. It looks like the interior seats will clean up pretty good but the rest will have to be replaced. It has a carpet on the floorboards but it is trash. The one drivers vent window is broken out, the passenger side glass is down in the door but won't roll up and some of the other glass is cracked. The car will obviously need some serious work but could be a driver in no time and you can restore it to whatever level you like. It is sold 'as is, whereis'. Buy it to like every bit of it. What you see is what you get and you are welcome to come look at it and hear it run. There is no warranty expressed or implied. Call Tom at 210.7014919 for info or to arrange to see it at 8914 Broadway in San Antonio, Tx. Thanks for looking and please come get it. This is a 'No Reserve' auction if you meet the starting price. Please note: A lot of people have asked for measurements and the engine number. The engine # is F0630B, The overall length of the car from end of bumper gaurds to end of bumper gaurds is 273". The length from the front bumprer gaurds to center of the rear axle is 222", The center of the front hud to the center of the rear axle is 188". Please give or take an inch on those measurements. Note #2: My description of no rust may have been a little hasty. I'm adding addittional pictures from the front floor board are where I pulled the rug back and there is indeed more than surface rust, there are a few small holes. It's still not bad for this car but please buy it as if it has rust. I also found the battery tray is rusted but no surprise there. Nobody has bid on it yet so no harm no foul. If you want a specific picture, please let me know. There are miscellaneous parts in the car but I have not opened the trunk yet. I will have a key made for it on Monday and then post a couple more pictures. Thanks for your interest. Tom On Jan-17-12 at 18:28:46 PST, seller added the following information: I have posted 4 more pictures showing the door plate, the inside of the trunk and the original spare tire. When I pulled the carpet out of the trunk there is some flaking rust apparent but no holes.
