Up for auction is a 1967 Mercedes 250SL European version. This is a 6 cylinder car with a 4 speed transmission. The car runs and shifts very well. It has a new stainless steel exhaust system, rebuilt starter, new battery, and some brake work was done. The tires all match and they are at 80%. I was told from the previous owner that the motor was completely rebuilt but I have no documentation to prove it. This car comes with a hard top, and a soft top, although the soft top needs to be replaced. Overall the body is in good condition. It does have some minor scratches and dents and minor rust above the left rear wheel well. All the glass is good. The chrome on the car is good with some minor dings but presentable. The interior is good, the seats and door panels are presentable, and the rugs could use replacing. Overall this is a good driver or would make a great restoration project. As you know these SL s are becoming more difficult to locate and a fully restored car can bring over $50,000. This car will be sold with a low reserve and please do not call or email me asking what the reserve is. Feel free to ask as many questions as you might have.
