Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE We are excited to offer up for auction this very nice, clean vintage Triumph with the rare 650 5 speed engine/tranny along with some very nice retro upgrades built in the old school style. Bike starts easily and runs great with a very strong engine. As with other bikes we have built we are extremely meticulous with the build process. This Triumph was built from the bare frame up; we media blasted the frame and painted it with a base coat clear coat application. All parts of the bike were assembled with great care, as is evident when you look at the pictures. We realize the description of this bike is longer than most but we wanted to share as much as possible about this Triumph and all the professional work that went into this custom build. Bike has a clean Arizona title in my name and it is titled as a 1967 Triumph T-120. The engine put into this build was a better breathing 1972 650 with a 5 speed, the only 650 engine with a 5 speed from the factory. The bike has the upgraded trans 5-speed high gear. Frame Number: T120RDU61748Engine Number: TR6RV-XG36520 Bike starts first kick as it has a healthy Joe Hunt Magneto freshened up with new points, condenser, cap, plug wires and boots. Bike has a lot of power and drives great as is evident in the video. As there is a freshly rebuilt engine in the bike it will need to be ridden easily at first to break in the new top end. The engine was built from the sludge trap up so no surprises. Below is a list of some of the new parts that went into this engine: Rod bearings and bushings A new bore job Pistons at 0.20, pins, clips and rings Valve job and valve guides Exhaust flanges New Black Diamond Valves Bearings Gaskets, seals, etc. Bike has a nice set of NEW Amal carbs, again these are new carbs not rebuilt! Frame has a small 4 degree rake and a new factory metal work hardtail with a 6” stretch and a 2.5” drop, so it is long and low but still has an 18” rear wheel. The rear fender is a very nice old Wassell that we were able to bring back to life. This bike is a blast to ride and a real head turner. Paint is Gloss Black Base Coat Clear Coat on the frame and it is Antique Cream White with a Candy Copper Stripe on the tank and fenders. In addition to the new engine parts I am listing a number of the other new parts that went into the bike as well: Dunlop tires and tubes – Gold Seal K-70s Rear sprocket and chain Monstercraft chain tensioner A beautiful hand tooled leather seat Hairpin Springs Factory Metal Works Hardtail (6” stretch and 2.5” drop) All new rubber – shift, kick, foot pegs, etc. Amal Carbs Fork seals, springs, gators and front wheel hub cap Grips, kill switch, levers and all cables A nice early type British headlight with light switch in headlight Tank knee pads and Petcocks Rocker box billet caps Primary chain All hoses Miller tail light and billet plate holder Also new are the 1.75” exhaust headers All new wiring run in a cloth type loom with a new Podtronics Regulator We put so much into the build of this bike, I am certain we have not mentioned everything, but I am certain you have an idea of the quality of the work that has gone into this classic machine. Overall this is one amazing 45 year old machine. As with any classic machine, a little care and tweaking may be required at times. But that is half the fun of owning one of these great old British bikes. Truly a one of kind bike for your collection. Be sure to check out the video of the bike running and look at all the pictures we have posted. Grab this one now, as these older classic machines are getting rarer and rarer. It would make a great addition to any collection but it will be even more fun to ride!
