Up for auction is my 1954 Cadillac Series 62 sedan. This car has 45,375 original miles! Im the 3rd owner of this car. It runs and drive well, handles real well and is nice and tight. The frame is solid, the body is mostly solid with exception to behind the rear wheels on the quarter panels (see pics). The previous owner cut out the rot on the passenger side about 4" up on the rear quarter panel and never installed a new piece. The car has the original 331ci V8 that runs great! It has dual 2 1/2" flowmaster exhaust that dumps out in front of each rear wheel. The rear is lowered 2" with lowering blocks which can be removed and put back to stock very easily. There is one small leak on the passenger side valve cover gasket and a very small leak at the rear end pinion seal (like 2 drops over night). The hydromatic transmission shifts nicely and does not slip. Newer seat covers have been installed, otherwise the interior is bone stock. All gauges work properly. The car is factory 12 volt, has power steering, power brakes, power seat and power windows, all factory! All power options work well with exception to passenger side rear window which does not move. The paint is a quick satin black paint job, that has imperfections. The front bumper and grill are in exceptionally good condition, very straight with a good finish for 58 year old factory chrome. The drivers side rear bumper end has been replaced with a rebuilt/rechromed end. It is showing some signs of wear with minor surface rust and very minor chrome flaking. The center bumper is original, solid but foggy chrome. The passenger bumper end is in rough shape and will need rebuild or replacement. All glass is in good shape, no cracks. All stainless trim around windows are in great shape. The floors all seem in fair shape but I have not pulled the carpet, I noticed the previous owner patched the drivers side panel. You can see in the pics how the spare tire well is in great solid shape, a real trouble spot for these cars. This has been a great car for me and the only reason Im selling it is to finance my coupe deville project. Sad to see this one go! Keep in mind this car is not perfect but is a good solid car for someone who wants to do some minor tinkering.
