Vehicle Detail
1997 Ford F 250 XLT 4x4, 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel, Lifted, Crew Cab, 6' bed, No Reserve! This truck does run but needs work. I bought this truck to fix it up, but im moving and will not have time to work on it. The engine runs very well. It has a new starter and battery's. It starts right up even on the coldest days. It also has a new PCM computer I installed from ford ($650). The transmission is auto and works and shifts good, but leaks trans. fluid between the bellhousing. The local transmission shop said that it is the front pump seal leaking in the transmission. I drove the truck and it works and shifts into all the gears fine. The transmission leak slows down alot and pretty much goes away when it warms up. The truck was used for work on a farm. It has some dents and dings, but no rust. The major dents are on the right rear bedside and tailgate (see pictures). There is also a small dent on the passenger door. The hood is bent on the driver side front (see pictures). The hood latch needs replaced. The frame and undercarriage are in good shape with little surface rust. The truck had a fifth wheel hitch that was removed, so there is a big hole in the bed floor, There is also ahole in the bed floor where there was a single stack. It is dirty inside and needs a good cleaning. There are stains in the carpet and seats that should clean up. There are no major rips or tears in the fabric. The radio does not work. The truck has power windows and locks. The drivers door handle is broke. The truck also needs some mechanical work for PA state inspection. The transmission issues that I put earlier and the other work it needs are as followed; The exhaust ends under the cab (I have used exhaust to put on that goes with), rear brake shoes and hardware kit, 2 wheel studs and lug nuts, right rear taillight cracked, drivers inside door handle, tires will pass PA inspection but will need fronts soon, hood latch and probably some other minor stuff. The truck is worth fixing up. It has a very good look and would be worth restoring or drive as is. The turbo 7.3's are getting very hard to find. I am listing the truck with no reserve. I can not take this truck with me when I move, so it needs to go. If you have low feedback call, or your bid will be canceled. I would tra de for something interesting. Im looking for old harles and parts or old chevy/nova go fast parts. Call me at 717-736-3997. Thanks Tyler I would also consider keeping this truck and selling my 1996 Ford F350xlt 4x4, crew cab, 8' bed, 7.3 Powerstroke, 5 speed manual, 6" lift, 36" Mickey Thompsons, with only 112k miles for $13500. See last pictures for the F350. Call if interested. Tyler 717-736-3997 On Jan-03-12 at 15:18:23 PST, seller added the following information: The truck also needs the 4x4 shifter bracket fixed or replaced ($25 at a salvage yard). Also, The tire size is 315x75x16.
