A question was asked about the Car Fax report showing the car having service work on the electrical system. This was a result of me putting a new battery in the car and reversing the negative and positive posts. As a result the cars stereo system stopped functioning. My first visit to the local Porsche dealership got the stereo and sirius satellite functioning properly and a new amp was ordered. My second visit (2 months later when my family returned from our 2 month vacation in Canada) was to have the new amplifier installed. So the electrical issue was a reversed battery installation and the remedy was a replaced fuse and new amplifier. I also forgot to mention I had the hood and front bumper repainted because of rock chips and then I had a 3M clear bra installed. 3m is also installed on side mirros. NO RESERVE This car has been an absolute treat to drive, my kids and I are sad to see it go. But we are hooked on MOAB, UT and will be buying a decked out jeep. Good luck to the highest bidder. Any oil leaks? Engine light ? Any body, interior or convertible top damage? I assume the car does not have ceramic brakes correct? What was the recent brake job for ? When and why was the clutch replaced? Any engine/performance modifications? Answer No oil leaks.Engine light has never been on since I have owned the vehicle. I perform regular oil changes to the car.No interior damage. Inside of car is beautiful! I will post more pics today. Exterior is also excellent except for a small paint chip on passenger door from another door hitting it. No dent though! Convertible top is in excellent condition both interior and exterior.Brakes were replaced late 2010 (maybe 30% left on pads) so I had them replaced. At the time they didn't need to be done. The clutch was replaced in 2010 by the the previous owner. No engine mods by me! - fire-yetie Question 2 I'm a current 996Turbo owner and contemplating a convertible. Can you clarify a few things for me - (1) is the front bumper and side-skirts genuine Techart?, (2) is the color metallic black?, (3) have the prior owners modified it?, (4) how many owners?, (5) any known issues with reversing the polarity of the battery leads? By the way, I'm located in Boston and would likely need assistance in shipping the car. Thanks for any information you can provide. Answer Yes they are genuine techart. The color is black with Silver/Blue metallic. I am not sure what the first owner did to the car with respect to performance mods. I know the second owner didn’t and nor have I. The only issue with the reversed polarity was the fuse. The original amp was fine but because the Porsche dealership brought in the amp and installed it they would not take it back. So I actually have a second amp for the car. I will assist in shipping this car anywhere in North America.
