Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1965 Lincoln Continental with suicide doors. The car is all there but as you can see from the pictures, the hood and trunk are toast. The body is amazingly straight and will require very little body work to get it back in shape for painting. It has the original 430 v8 motor that currently has 79,000 miles on it. This car has been in my family for the past 30 years and the last time we started it, it fired right up. A family member has started it since and I believe it had bad gas in it and probably has a stuck valve now because of that. The car spent the first 20 years outside but has been in a climate controlled shop for the last 10 years. The interior of the car is in very good shape as you can see from the pictures. These pictures were taken without me even wiping the dust off the car! The headliner is still in great shape and the combo leather and cloth seats are great. I think the pans may be a little rusty but there doesn’t seem to be holes in them. Trunk pan is solid as far as I can tell. The car is pretty solid. If you love these old luxury boats and want to fix it up, it is a perfect candidate. If you have one currently and need parts to complete your restoration, it will be good for that also. I am offering this car at NO RESERVE and it will go to the highest bidder. I have started the auction at the scrap metal value of the car. I will sell it for scrap it I have to but I would really like for it to have a new home with someone who wants it. For now, I need the space and it must go. I will send more pictures to those interested. If you have any questions or would like to see the car please send me an e-mail with your phone number and I will get back to you promptly or you can call me at 573-703-5896. Thank you for you time and good luck. The buyer will be responsible for shipping and all cost associated with getting the Lincoln to its new home. A $250 deposit will be required at the end of the auction to the winning bidder but I can store for a couple of weeks after the auction if you need. Also, I can help the winning bidder load the car if need be.
