Vehicle Detail

I am regretfully selling my 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. The car is in overall good condition. The body on this car has very little rust, being from dry west Texas. It was painted 1 year ago and while it looks sharp from a distance, up close you can find flaws in the paint. The worst area of the body is the hood. It has several small hail dents. You can get a new hood for $200.00 , so to me this is no big deal. The rest of the car is very straight having only minor dings. There are no signs that this car was every wrecked. the body panels are aligned well, and all appear to be the original parts with the exception of the trunk lid, which is new. The only rust I have found on the car was the front floorpans, which have been replaced. The car is very sound mechanically. The engine is a 1968 302 that only has about 20K miles on a complete rebuild. The engine has performance upgrades including a competition cam, rhodes lifters, edlebrock torker intake, try-Y headers, holley 600 carb, MSD 6a spark box. This thing roars to life as soon as you hit the starter. The transmission is a C-4 automatic that works perfectly. The brake parts are all new except for the steel portion of the lines and work fine but could use some minor adjusting. The rear axle makes no noise and has a 3.00:1 ratio. (highway gears). It has a complete new dual exhaust system with 2.5 inch pipe. The interior is in overall good condition including new carpet, and all new seat upholstery. The original headliner is in good shape, but is starting to come loose from one of the bows. This is hardly noticeable. The dash pad is also new. Some other new parts include: light switch, ignition switch, starter solenoid, rear bumper, back up lights, new windshield, aluminum radiator. The tires are also new BF Goodrich. The car is not inspected, but it should pass inspection. The car is fast, and goes perfectly straight down the road. All instruments work except for the speedometer which only needs a new cable. It worked until the original cable broke. The car is being sold AS IS with NO Warranty. The exact mileage is not known, but I would guess it has recently rolled over 100K. On Dec-30-11 at 10:49:25 PST, seller added the following information: I want to add a few things . The car has new back up lights, which are not in the pictures. The car has a new dash board, which was also not in when the pictures were taken. The emergency brake has not been connected on the wheel end. The cable and everything is all there. There is no radio in the car, and the original hole was enlarged slightly at some point. A modern radio could easily be installed, or you can buy a patch panel to weld in to restore this area to original. It has Alpine 6x9 speakers in the rear deck. I have never tried the heater. the controls are all connected, but I have never hooked up the heater hoses. The car has the original A/C motor in the car, but the compressor is not mounted. I will include the compressor with the car, but I don't have the brackets. The front seats are 69 standard seats. All the 64-70 seats are interchangeable. I went with the 69s because they have head rests, which is a huge safety feature. The car is very fun to drive as is, or would be a great candidate to take to the next level.
