ORIGINAL OWNER: I bought this vehicle new on September 15, 2010. Purchased from Champion BMW in Charleston, South Carolina. Original vehicle cost: $15,320 which included: on-board computer, white turn indicators, center stand, saddle bag mounts, heated grips and Integral ABS II. Options installed at time of sale included: BMW hard cases, luggage keys matched to the ignition switch and BMW windshield. I put 4,889 miles on the vehicle, being extremely careful throughout the break in period. It has been on several medium length trips, mostly freeway and served as my primary means of transportation in the 15 months since I picked it up. If you've never driven an R series you owe it to yourself to do so, it is incredibly fast, smooth and agile. SPECS: air/oil cooled twin-cylinder, 1170 cc, 109 bhp @7500 rpm, linked brakes (front lever actuates front and rear, foot brake actuates rear only), 492 lbs, seat height 31.5 inches The vehicle has had all BMW suggested service done at the dealership including the 600 mile service on 11/2/2010 and the 1-year service (replaced brake fluids), oil and filter change. Service records are included. The oil and filter (still dino oil as the factory does not recommend synthetic until 6000 miles) were changed by me on 9/30/2011 using BMW oil and filter. As the pictures show, the vehicle is pristine. It has ALWAYS been garaged. There are no dings or dents. It has NEVER been dropped, raced, over-revved or abused. There has never been a mechanical or electrical problem with the vehicle. Everything works as it should including ABS, 2-position grip warmers (hot) and on-board computer. The vehicle averages in the high 40s on the interstate and effortlessly cruises at or above the posted speed limit. There are no drips or leaks, shakes shudders or odd noises. All the original keys, booklets as well as service records will go with the vehicle. PAYMENT: high bidder must pay a $500 non-refundable deposit (PayPal accepted) at the end of auction. The remainder of the payment will be cash on delivery. No credit, terms or layaways. I have clear title in hand and am the sole owner. DELIVERY: it is entirely the buyer's responsibility to pick up the vehicle within 2 weeks of sale. If you want the vehicle delivered I will be happy to assist as long as payment is complete and you pay for all delivery charges.
