1972 westfalia camper. For sale with a *low reserve* a '72 westy. Bus has a 1979 2 liter motor with duel weber IDF carbs ('bout 5k miles on rebuild) brand new trans, (5) new tires, new shocks, new german muffler, brakes excellent, has a gas heater (needs a new relay) but works. Bus runs great. I have (not yet installed) electric fan, front disc brake pads, front brake hoses, antenna, new clutch cable, accel. cable, heater cable, ignition wiring, accesory battery wiring for a house battery,plus some other goodies I can't think of off hand. All the systems work quite well! all the bonus goodies were purchased as a precaution for the enevitable brake downs that happen with older buses. this bus ( as I said) has a '79 2 liter motor, It has hydrolic lifters and 1 lifter is "clicky" hadn't been started in a bit. it may just need to be driven and pumped up or, replaced (easy job can be done from under the bus, without pulling the motor ) I have a new lifter that goes with it also. Floors and pan are solid. the fron floor board had some surface rust on it. I ground it down to metal treated it with POR 15 then primerd it with sealer primer. everything works very well on the bus. runs and, drives nice! with the duel webers it's quite peppy. this is by no means a flawless bus but, I wouldn't hesitate hoping in it and take'n off to points unknown. they all need a little love and tinkering. body had and I say "had" 2 rust spots in front of each back wheel well. those to were ground down patched sealed and primed. the primer at the bottom of the bus was just a whim to continue the brown all the way down the bus rather than just have 2 spots in front of the wheel wells. thanks for looking P.S.
