What I have here is your typical barn find. It was frozen up, pistons in cylenders and clutch. Chrome is good, doesn't show well here, relections not rust on tank!! Ofcourse no title and in Wa. no problem to get one but not complete for 4 years so he won't initiate. I get 2 or 3 old hondas in the summer when I'm working , save them to clean up and sell in the winter when I'm not. This one is someone elses so I am running this auction for him. Normaly I stick with the CL or Scrambler models but , this one seemed to be mostly complete so I took the chalange. I don't believe these are any where as popular or expensive as the CL's so we didn't put much money in it and thus don't expect a lot. It was a gross hand painted blue even over the metal and rubber that should not have been painted. I removed the motor, dissasembled and repairs as necc. with pistons, rings and gaskets. Then dissasembled as necc. to clean and paint, repaired wiring and installed new battery. The tires are worn but hold air and good for local driving untill one wanted to upgrade and replace. Lights, neutral light, starter, electric starter, horn all work now. Just TT pipes with baffles installed. Also the glass is cracked on speedo but dry and clean. Low reserve for a fairly good looking, running old Honda classic. The paint is shiny, some or many flaws from prvious painting but basically looks a lot better than I thought it would. From 15' looks like an 8. I believe this to be a 6.5 on scale of 1-10, 10 being new. So if you want an old classic that runs and looks pretty complete and clean this is cheep! Write with any neccesary questions, before bidding. Will work with buyer on shipping or additions you may want, tires, pipes etc. Good luck and shiny side up. This is not Craig's List or for sale to be shown and seen and ridden localy. It is a 50 year old motorcycle that has been used and worked on by many owners , mechanics I'm sure. It is not ,nore will be a show bike. But, for the weekend mechanic that wants one of these pieces of history that may someday be valuable this will be a winner purchase. If anyone would just like parts, such as wheels, fenders, engine complete or parts, write now and let me know what they are worth to you. It seems that at least this time parts are more valuable than a running bike. Will part out if enough feed back, perhaps some bidders are just looking for certain parts? I wonder, does anyone just need the engine? I will change heads for Scrambler or Superhawlk. Just an idea.
