Nice '66 Mustang convertible. Just about as clean a specimen you could find without being restored. I got the car from an Estate sale auction. It is so beautiful I just couldn't resist. I spent up a lot of our savings and promised my wife I would list it after we drove for a while. It's been 6 months so I guess I need to live up to my promise. It drives real well and we have enjoyed it immensely. Every where we drive it it gets lots of attention. Since I bought it I talked with the past owners family. I was told that it was bought in 1981 from the original owner with about 70,000. The last owner drove it very little and it was always stored in the garage. The car absolutely zero rust. No squeaks or rattles. Very smooth running 289 that dose not smoke or knock, just smooth at idle or high speed. That is about all the history I have on the car. I cannot say that the 93500 is the original miles as I have no verification other word of mouth. It runs and drives like it, has original interior and carpet and has had one paint job, with the original color. There is some discoloration from the sun on the top of the passenger seat and the carpets are a little aged. (not bad) But all the rest is perfect. Incidentally the original "pony" interiors are available from several sources. As a matter of fact all parts are readily available, but I don't see that you would need any. I have a bunch of catalogs and articles on 66 Mustangs that I will put in the perfect trunk. Original jack and spare are in there. I was told that the original owner had the rack added at the dealer as he carried a suitcase there. Not much room in the trunk with the full size spare. I must sell it as - is, where is, but if I were ever going to guarantee a car, this would be it. Shipping is readily available and I will help load and insure it is done correctly. I can deliver once paid for on the west coast for expenses. Oh it also has new Michellin tires and original rally wheels. It did get a new top and boot a few years ago that still appears brand new.
