Vehicle Detail
1981 Chevy C-10 Shortbed Mildly built 454 bored .040 over, Cam, Wieand intake, Edelbrock carb, Accel Distributor with Super coil and Headers. Very strong motor that was just built about 10,000 miles ago Transmission is a 700R4 with 2500 stall converter. The body is 100% rust free and straight. This is only the second one in this condition we've gotten in in the last few years...The taillights and tailgate were shaved and a rollpan, 2" Steel double hump cowl induction hood, Billet Phantom grille and a new Fire/Ice LED taillight bar were added. The paint is Kirker "Hot Rod Satin Black", and it was just painted on 11/23/2011 (3-weeks ago) The interior has brand new GM carpet (still has the plastic on it) with GM floormats, very nice custom tweed bench seat with matching door panels, black dash mat, billet dash acces. and cd player with new speakers. The wheels are 17" American Racing Torque Thrust ll's and tires are in great shape. We have a very reputable Chevy Truck warehouse and built this truck in 2 days for the Turkey Rod Run to show what we're able to do in a short amount of time. We started with a very solid, 100% rust-free straight truck-- we wet-sanded it, painted the body, installed the new interior, pulled the tired 305 and dropped in a healthy 454 to grab attention and then installed the wheels to give it that go-fast look while sitting still. There's well over 10k invested in this truck ($2500 just in the motor), and these pictures don't do it justice... we've been extremely busy with a few builds that came in from showing the truck at the Daytona Turkey Rod Run and haven't had a lot of time to get better ones, but will get more in the next day or so... There are still a few small things left to do (such as the exhaust from headers back). We also have a brand new set of drop spindles and a rear flip kit that will come with the truck if someone wants to lower it. The truck is extremely fast-- it turns heads and gets compliments everywhere it goes. It's next to impossible to find these body's in this shape... We have had several people stop into the shop just to look at and hear it run. It served it's purpose (promoting our company-- oddrodz.net-- and what we can do with a truck in just 2 days). Now it's time for a new owner, could be you. For a truck that's been built by a custom shop , it's a steal at this price-- but we enjoy the builds and we like getting our name out there, so we've priced it to move quickly for the Holidays....Bid fast due to it being listed locally. Once a bid has been placed, we will let the auction run it's course, but if there are no bids and we get an offer locally, we will close the auction and sell the truck. This will the last time that this truck is offered. If not sold by Christmas, we are going to remove the motor and trans for another project and then part the rest of the truck out. Thanks for taking the time to check out our latest project... Feel free to give us a call at 407-435-0807 with any questions!
