1966 Rambler Ambassador This Rambler was owned by 2 families prior to me buying it this spring. The gentleman I purchased it from had been storing it in his garage for the last 15 years. His dad had given him the car, and his grandpa purchased the car from the original owner in the late 60’s or early 70’s. The gentleman that I purchased the car from did not wish to sell it, but relocation on the eastside of the U.S. and job change made it difficult for him to take it along. The car is in very nice condition!!! The interior is very clean! The dash is amazing with a very nice dash panel. The dash panel has working lights. The original stereo works great! All of the door panels are in excellent condition except for a small blemish on the passenger front door. The worst condition issue the in my opinion is the drivers side carpet is worn and there is some staining around the headliner. I have pictured both so you can see the condition issues. Both front seats came covered and have remained covered in my care. But you can see the rear seats, dash, dash panel and rear deck board are in excellent condition. The overall condition of the interior of this car is VERY NICE!!! The exterior of the car is also in excellent condition. The passenger side taillight lens and bracket are broken. The bracket is taped in place but it will need to be replaced. It has a smudge on the paint near the trunk key entry. It also has 2 small dings (very small). I pictured the larger ding in the driver’s side front fender. It also has a couple of chips in the paint on the passenger side front fender which I have also pictured. The paint on this car is in very good condition and body is extremely strait and in very nice condition. The car’s odometer reads 04031 based on the condition of the car I believe the mileage to be 104, 031 miles, but I cannot be sure! This car has the 287 V-8 engine and it runs good! I have owned the car since spring and I have invested just over $1200 getting it ready to drive. I had the oil and fluids changed, a new battery installed, carburetor rebuilt, the gas tank dropped and acid cleaned. My professional mechanic said the car runs good, but still do to sitting for so long he recommended that we drive it daily just to clear out any remaining old gas or residue in the lines. The automatic transmission shifts smooth and the heater works good! I do have the original owners manual as well! This is a nice old car ready to be used as a daily driver or just a short distance from being nice enough to use as a show car!
