Vehicle Detail

1961 STUDEBAKER HAWK 2-DOOR COUPERARE ORIGINAL FLAMINGO COLORTHIS COLOR ONLY WAS PRODUCED FOR ONE YEAR - 1961(Please read everything! There is a lot of info here!)This is an absolutely awesome 1961 Studebaker Hawk....very rare original FLAMINGO color....original tan/white interior! The NADA value on this Hawk is over $19K! These are very rare. You can steal it because we need the space...so don't miss out. This car has been totally gone through and is in tip-top condition, both inside and out. Original 8-cylinder, 289 engine runs great and starts every time. Comes with a copy of the original Build Sheet from the Studebaker Museum showing the car's final assembly date was 4/20/61 and that it was sent to Spokane, Washington. It also shows the car is and was originally Flamingo.Over $5,000 has been spent on this car in the past few years, making it a reliable driver. Since then, it has only been used in movie, TV and video shoots. Among the repairs/replacements:*New Battery and CablesNew Hoses and Belts*New Alternator*Carbuerator Overhauled*New Air Conditioner with Vintage Face Plate*Air Conditioning Condensor Rebuilt*New Air Conditioner Compressor*New Water Pump*New Crankshaft Belt*Radiator Recore*New Valve Cover Gaskets*New Ignition*New Ignition Wires*New Spark Plugs*New Door Locks*New Fuel Line and Filter*New Emergency Brake Cable*New Alternator Belt*New CarpetingAll chrome and badges are present....there is some pitting...it is a 50-year-old car after all. All gauges are original and working. Clock is original but not working. Brakes are tight. Original radio turns on, but is not getting signals (antenna connector?), original glass, original dashboard in great condition...hammered steel is shiny and reflective. Headliner is in good shape, interior is original, seats in great shape (although a little uncomfortable due to springs) Driver's side armrest in the backseat is original, but needs to be re-installed. There is a quarter-sized hole in the headliner nearly over the middle of the front seat. The truck is not latching all the way, but stays down when the car is driven due to the weight of it. This is one eye-catching car that draws plenty of attention wherever she goes. Very rare in this color combination and in this condition. This car could easily be an every day driver or just a weekend attention-getter. I am moving out some of my classic cars to make room for new ones and this car must go. If you would like to make an offer, contact me through the listing. Please be advised: this car is for sale locally and this listing will be cancelled if it is sold before the auction ends. Please ask any and all questions before bidding and please do not bid unless you intend on completing the sale. Pick-up and shipping are the responsibility of the winning bidder...both payment and arrangements. I am happy to help with scheduling. I recommend Dependable Auto Shipping (DAS) as I have used them for years and had good luck with them.Only being relisted because of the winning bidder! He backed out because the car didn't shine enough. These pictures were taken on a sunny Southern California day.....not a cloudy, rainy day like the one he saw the car on. Wash it...add sunshine....and this car glows!!!!!! A $500 good faith deposit is due from the winning bidder thru Paypal within 24 hours of the close of the auction. The balance is payable through bank wire transfer and is due within 7 days of the close of the auction. I am not able to go any longer on the balance, nor will I accept payments on this car. The balance must be paid in full before the car is released to the winning bidder or his/her shipper. This car is being sold as-is with no warranty. I have described the car to the best of my ability. It is a 50-year-old car and this needs to be understood by anyone bidding on it.
