1968 Chevrolet Camaro You are looking at a "highly desirable" car at a very reasonable price! It's getting hard to find a nice, daily driver, 1st generation, 4 speed, Camaro for under $14K. So, If you've been looking for such a car ....you found it! This is an awesome deal for someone wanting a nice "Friday Night" cruiser. This car runs and drives great. It is a 100% pure all "American Muscle Car" with no frills or power anything. It performs very well and is a riot to drive. The 425+ HP engine runs fine on premium pump gas. Engine: The engine is a "small block" 400 cubic inch Chevrolet motor. It's bored 30 over to a 406 C.I. It fires right up, idles at 800 RPM and has headers with a nice sounding dual Flowmaster exhaust system. It was assembled with 350 rods, Studded 2 bolt mains, Double hump heads, 205 Manley valves, Roller Rockers, Roller lifters, Roller Cam, Double Roller timing chain, Roller pilot bearing, ARP bolts, Speed Demon 750 carburetor, 100 AMP alternator, Aluminum radiator, 2 Electric fans, MSD Ignition, MSD Extra duty distributor, 7 quart oil pan, relocated oil filter and oil cooler. Topped off with a nice sounding cam! Transmission: The M-21 four speed goes in and out of gear easily, it shifts smooth with no issues. It has a Hurst shifter and a Heavy Duty Dual friction clutch. They both work good! Interior: The completely restored black interior is in excellent shape with no rips, tears or burns (minor carpet stains). It has aftermarket "Auto Meter"gauges. The oil pressure stays around 50 PSI and the high performance engine idles around 800-850 RPM's. Body: The body is in good condition. It has nice red paint that's presentable for a "driver quality" car. All of the stainless trim and chrome is in good condition. It has Bolt-in "sub-frame" connectors with traction bars. The floor pans and trunk pans are solid and appear to be original but, have signs of minor repairs. This car is really fast because of two reasons. The high performance engine and the Camaro's overall light weight. The hood, rear spoiler, front fenders and both upper & lower nose pieces are fiberglass. They are individual pieces (not a "one piece" fiberglass front end). It fits pretty good too! The battery was relocated in the trunk for additional weight distribution. The window glass is in good condition. Misc: It has "SS" emblems to dress up the car. I do not believe this is a factory "SS" Camaro? The rims are 15" Cragar SS (uni-lug) wheels with Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS white letter tires. They are only six months old. This Camaro has a Chrysler 8 3/4" posit-traction 411 rear end and manual drum brakes. The odometer shows around 11K miles. I'm sure it rolled over? Actual miles unknown.
