We are selling our 1939 Chevrolet 4 Door Sedan that has been sitting under a shed for the past ten years and used as a prop at a photography studio. There is no engine or transmission in this vehicle, and the paint job is just primer. However, the body appears to be straight and most of the glass is good. The passenger side of the front windshield (split type) and drivers front and rear door windows are in place, but cracked. This vehicle will need to be towed from it's present location (Odessa, Texas). The good news is that I have gone ahead and installed 4 brand new tires (Falken 195/60 R14) onto this Chevy, so the winning bidder won't have to do any work on getting this automobile ready for transport. It's ready to roll! This being said, buyer is responsible for picking up this vehicle and I will personally be there to help load the vehicle up for you. Regarding the chassis and suspension, the front assembly appears to have been replaced with a disc brake system. The rear is drum brakes with a very heavy duty leaf spring assembly and solid axle. Regarding rust on the vehicle, there are some small rust areas on the running boards, but nothing cancerous. The body and frame (from what I could see as I was jacking up the vehicle to replace the tires) appear very solid and rust free. Odessa is in Southwest Texas and its climate is very dry, so rust issues really don't exist in this part of Texas. We are starting this bid at $500.
