Vehicle Detail
No Reserve Auction! 1990 5.0, 5 speed Mustang. I picked this mustang up from a gentleman who had owned a speed shop that restored and rebuilt Fox body's. Long story short, due to the economic climate, his shop closed there doors and he was selling off all the complete and incomplete projects. This was the last one he had. Him and his son were working on the vehicle together for some time and lost the time to work on it, and lack of funds restricted them to finish.. Being a Mustang owner and enthusiast I couldn't let the vehicle sit or pass by. It has a fresher 5.0, clean shifting 5 speed, new big clutch kit, 10lbs Vortech Supercharger, MSD distributor and cap with upgraded wires. MSD box, Ford Motorsport 42lb injectors, Edelbrock upper and lower intake, Cobra valve covers, new radiator, Lightning 90mm mass air meter, KYB adjustable struts and shock front and rear, Eibach lowering springs front and rear, Superchips custom tuning chip with adjustable settings, upgraded fuel system (pump) and fuel lines, Darrels Alternator, Cobra big brake kit (front), 5 Lug conversion, 373 gears, Mac long tubes, Factory Cobra rims (ford stamped), Cervini Cobra fiberglass hood, Cobra rear wing, front bumper grill insert "running horse". White faced "Boost" and "fuel" pressure gauges - A pillar mounted, white faced "water temp" and "oil pressure" gauges center dash vent mounted, all working. As you can see from the pics, the body work is about 95% done, only thing that will need to be done for the body would be a quick light sanding to get some water spots or tape marks cleaned up before paint. The motor compartment, under-hood, and door jams, have all been painted, I do have a sample of the paint to match if you decide to keep the color, looks like a Ford sapphire blue. Great color. I have all the window and door trims for the exterior, both exterior mirrors, both front wiper arms, antenna, extra belt, and a box of assorted hardware and badges for the exterior and interior. I didn't want to re-install obviously because it all needs to be off to get a proper paint job done. Body has about 160k, motor has pulled out of a 93 convertible with about 30K, from what I was told, the son put the convertible in a ditch so they started to build this with all the good parts. runs like true 30K.. I'm not sure if the heads are worked so I will assume they are stock, I don't want to imply unless I am positive. You can see that they started the work the right way so there can possibly be more performance work to the motor then I know of at this time. The motor fires up and runs STRONG.. shifts threw all gears and reverse with no issues, clutch grabbed great. For the mechanical things I did notice was that the rack and pinion is leaking out of the passenger side bellow, ( pep boys $80.00). Passenger side window is not working, I haven't checked plug or wiring, possible window motor. Passenger side automatic door lock inop, mechanically works OK but electronically not working with switch. Door panels need a few clips and screws to be tight and secure, more then likely in the box of bolts in the trunk. Both front door panels have an added speaker enclosure molded to the front panels. Slight exhaust leak from drivers side muffler, 5 min weld tac job and problem solved. Does have nice pipes all the way back with polished tips. The Cobra wing 3rd brake light needs to be plugged in, but would recommend removing for paint job so was not addressed. Few rear bulbs out in tail lamps, No headlights... eBay as you may know you can get a complete set for $100.00. The drivers side front seat is gray, passenger side front is black so they don't match.. Other then that I have taken the vehicle out around town and locally with a dealer plate but I have never taken down the Highway at high speeds so overall I cant give you every known issue IF ANY. If I find or think of anything else I will update the listing. I can tell you that threw 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear this car is hard to keep straight when under hard acceleration so there's plenty of power and is what you would expect from a mustang 5 speed with the above listed performance parts. Long story short, this thing RIPS and is a blast to drive.. I will be and am being as honest as possible, any questions you may have I will answer as quick as possible. Being a Super Charged Mustang, there is no warranty on vehicle. Bid on the intent to buy and own. Vehicle is for sale local, I do hold the right to end auction early, No delivery preferred, customer pick up only. I picked the vehicle up knowing the potential the vehicle has, I'm not trying to make a huge profit on the vehicle, I have a 89 gt convertible thats my baby and personal project that i'v invested to much money into so I undrrstand the amount of time and money that was put into starting this Mustang. Im mainly looking to just pass this along to someone who will finish and appreciate the car so no low balers please. I do have a video driving the car the day I put it back together so I can post to YouTube if needed. $500.00 dollar non-refundable deposit requested at end of auction to ensure serious bidders. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Buy It Now is for convenience. No reserve Auction. If I sell the vehicle for around $3300.00 I'll break even and cover my time. For an additional cost I can rent a car trailer and help deliver within my personal acitable range. I might be open to offers and possible trade options... Thanks for looking. Michael
