I am selling this 1955 FORD F250 Dump Bed equipped pickup truck for a friend. This truck has a clear Kansas title. Speedometer mileage cannot be verified but is claimed to be correct. This truck has been stored inside out of the weather and required no rust repairs. The truck’s steering is tight and drives well. The original operators manual is included in this auction. Drivers side glass and regulator will require replacement/repair. Drivers vent/wing glass is broken but usable. Passenger side glass is cracked and can be raised and lowered with regulator. The current owner recently painted the truck with Solar System Sunglow Alkyd Enamel “Gaylord Aqua Blue” paint. It is NOT a restoration. It was cleaned up and painted with the intention of being used as an attractive daily driver/play truck. The truck was found to have minimal rust, floorboards solid and required very little straightening or body work. This F250 is Equipped with Ford’s 233cu in IL six cylinder motor that runs smoothly and does not smoke. Charging system was updated with a single wire 12v alternator (GM). A new 12v battery installed and the wiring repaired/replaced to insure all lights work properly A new muffler was installed. The rare Holley VisiFlow carburetor has been rebuilt and a new fuel pump installed resulting in easy/dependable starts. New points, condenser, distributor cap and plug wires have been installed. The fuel system has been flushed, including tank removal/flush, and functions properly. An in-line fuel filter was added to prevent carburetor contamination. This truck is equipped with 4-speed transmission and is equipped with a Hercules Galion Products hydraulic dump bed. The bed has a steel floor installed over the wood bed boards. . The master cylinder was rebuilt. All brake shoes are new and all wheel cylinders rebuilt. New brake hoses were installed on rear brakes. New steel rear brake lines replaced the rusted originals. 16” (235X75 X16) aftermarket wheels and tires replaced the 17” wheels and tires. The original 17” tires and wheels are included in this auction. A tow bar (not shown) that was installed on the truck when acquired is included with the auction. This truck is being sold "as is-where is" with no warranty. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to provide transportation/shipping from its present storage location. If necessary, the current owner will be happy to provide coordination assistance between buyer and transport company for pick up dates and times. Please obtain current owner approval before finalizing pick dates and times. Do not assume owner/seller is available 24 hours a day seven days a week.
