This auction is for one 2001 Hyundai Elantra for fix up. I am selling this for a friend of mine but you are more than welcome to email me with any questions you have about it. The car has a few minor problems and I will describe them all below. Keep in mind that I am not a professional mechanic so there might be other issues that I do not know of. Because of this the car will be sold AS IS. I am an honest seller and will disclose all I know about the vehicle. The main issue with the vehicle is that it currently overheats due to the Radiator Fan not turning on. I do not know if the fan is bad or if it is the sensor for the fan. Thermostat has already been changed. Fix the radiator fan and you should have a good running vehicle The engine runs just fine and sounds healthy even though the check engine light is on. Sometimes when hitting the gas pedal there is a slight hesitation in acceleration but other than that it is good to go. Other minor problems. 1. Leaks oil from the valve cover gasket. Not sure if it leaks anywhere else. Needs 1 quart added about once a month depending on how much you drive. My friend who owns the car used to drive it a lot. 2. Both front tires are bad and will not hold air.(has a spare on one side but I have the old rim so you can get a new tire put on) 3. Front brakes are low and will probably need to be changed soon. I don't see any gouging on the rotors yet so it hasn't gotten that far. 4. Inside of drivers door is cracked in the plastic near floor light(in picture) 5. Weather stripping for part of the drivers door window is missing. Doesn't leak water though. 6. Two small dents(one on front drivers side and other near the rear passenger side) in pics 7. Middle rear brake light doesn't work. Probably a bad bulb. 8. Steering wheel wobbles on the highway. Possible suspension, tire, or alignment issue.  9. slight bit of surface rust starting on both rear sides of the vehicle(in pics). 10. A few of the dash light bulbs are out but it is still plenty readable.  11. The drivers outside door handle was replaced with an aftermarket black one. So the color does not match. 12. The vehicle was owned by a smoker and smells a little bit like cigarette smoke. 13. Car needs a good cleaning. Was parked under a tree for quite sometime. The Good. Vehicle starts up like it should. Both the heater and AC work just fine. Transmission seems to shift well when driven. All the power locks, windows, and sunroof work good. Car has a CD player installed not a tape player. Also, I will vacuum out the car before it is picked up. Since both front tires are bad and the vehicle can overheat when driven this car will have to be towed. However, you are welcome to drive it home if you want to get some used tires put on the front first and fix the radiator fan issue but getting that done will be up to you.
