Vehicle Detail
This is great looking, running and sound Pontiac GTO. This is not a numbers matching GTO but it is all GM Motors and you cannot tell the difference between this one and one that is sitting directly beside a numbers matching car. This one it built better than a numbers matching car anyway. This car is rust free and was rebuilt and restored about 2 years ago. I am only selling this sweet machine because I simply have too many toys and I will hate to see this one go. The power train has about 2000 miles on it. Rebuilt 455 bored to 0.030 over with flat top pistons and hydraulic cam with 0.495" lift cam with Holly Carb and Holly Single Plane Intake. Muncie 4 Speed Transmission with Hurst comp-plus shifter. Radiator is brand new 73-87 Chevy 4-Core. Manual 12" Diameter Clutch. Rear is 12 Bolt Positive Traction with 3.5 gears. Exhaust is 3" Flowmasters with 2-1/2" tailpipes with Dynomax Cermic Coated Headers. Chrome Alternator and new Power Steering Pump. The internal Engine Compartment, Firewall and Parts of the Engine are Painted to match the Body. Wheels are American Racing Chrome Sticks with 5-new. Tires are new Good Year Eagles at 215/60/R15. Frame is a 68-72 Chevy with all 1968 Pontiac GTO Body Parts. Paint is House of Color Candy Brandy Wine over Gold. Paint Procedure was 3 coats BC-1 Solar Gold, 5 Coats UK-1 Brandy Wine Candy, and 4 Coats Clear Urethane Clear, New Upholstery Enduratex Corithian # COR-0111 French Vanilla. Motorized Convertible Top with Glass Rear Window - when you unzip this window make sure you place it all the way down in the bottom of the well. This is normal procedure when lowering the top. Failure to do this will result in a Broken Window. This Pontiac GTO will burn out with the best of them and I have left two parallel burnouts of about 50 yards right outside my driveway - read on the demand with the torque of the Pontiac 455. This car was State of Texas inspected this year and has lots of power with good drivability. I got it State of Texas Inspected because I like to drive cars and do not really want them classified as antiques which might get to get out the garage about 6 times a year. This car is garage kept under cover until I want to go out cruising. She is an attention getter for sure and people of all ages will stop and want to talk about it. Again this car is ready to go and you will not be disappointed.
