Carmine red 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500 in great shape. I have been a mechanic for about 30 years and have owned this car for 6 years or so As a hobby and over the last three years my wife and I have been restoring/replacing and refurbishing about everything on this car. The replaced items are as follows: Engine overhauled including a reman cylinder head, distributor assembly, cap, rotors, wires, fuel pump, thermostat, starter, coil, battery, updated aluminum front main block, polished valve cover, Weber carb and Cannon intake, oil cooler with braided stainless lines, clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. Clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, brake master cylinder, Cooper tires, complete suspension rebuild including front coil springs and rack boots, rear spring and shocks, front shocks, radiator deflectors, thermostatically controlled electric cooling fan, fiberglass trans tunnel, carpet, and complete interior kit including the seats, sun visors, rear panel and every item that was originally fabric covered within the interior. The complete dash was removed and re-veneered. The entire interior was removed and the floors covered with 2 coats of POR-15. The floor mats are embroidered with the Triumph logo. The list could go on-and-on including clamps, all hoses, plugs............right down to the washer bottle and its hoses, side mirrors, etc. The sale includes a full car cover, a right hand drive tonneau cover (bought from Europe without thinking about the right hand drive!!), lots of tech and restoration manuals, a case of Brad Penn oil, 2 extra complete engines and1 extra transmission. The top needs recovered, although it is there and completely intact. We did not drive the car in foul weather and used the car in many parades carrying pageant queens, so we never installed the top to keep from interfering with them sitting on the shelf panel area. The paint is beautiful and maintains a super glossy shine. There is one spot on the rt side front quarter panel, but other than that it is great. I have tons of receipts and many original parts that will also go with the car. This car is for sale locally and the ad may be cancelled at any time
