Vehicle Detail

1965 Ford Mustang Coupe -- Hi Po Muscle Car, 289 V-8 Wimbledon White This a heavily customized '65 Mustang for the discerning muscle car enthusiast, and I want it to have a good home. I've owned it for 28 years and kept it garaged for nearly all of that time. Must sell. Take advantage of the many investments of time and money over many years ( $4400 in upgrades/repairs in the last few months! ) -- I'm sad to part with this pony but happy to give the lucky buyer a fantastic value. Happy bidding! SPECIAL NOTE to BUYERS: I just discovered that I do not have the pink slip (title) and have been to DMV to order a replacement title. The new title may not be in my hands until ˜ Xmas. You should have your classic in time to put under the tree (assuming it is a very large tree) . . . ! Contact me for details. Thanks! -------- MORE IMAGES HERE: http://arkivo.com/mustang65_project/ /////////// ////////////// FEATURES --- 289 V-8: rebuilt with custom racing cam, headers -- estimated 350hp+ . . . ! --- Holley 650 Double Pumper carb, just completely rebuilt . . . ! --- racing air filter --- electric fuel pump --- Mickey Thompson valve covers + Quick Release tie downs - elegant --- Oversize voltage regulator --- Mallory ignition system --- Oversize distributor cap for optimal spark --- racing wires --- Cross-flow Ford Galaxy radiator in place of feeble original radiator --- pony oil radiator (connects to neck of oil filter to route oil to a small radiator mounted in front of radiator) --- 8-qt oversize oil pan plus oil pump to match --- Over-engine cross brace for frame stability --- Heavy duty racing clutch --- 4-Speed tranny, Hurst shifter (brand new shifter and linkage! ) --- Custom heavy driveshaft (Cannon Driveshaft of North Hollywood, California) --- Custom after-market differential --- Custom dual exhaust with balancer (Enoch's of Burbank, California) --- Pneumatic rear shocks -- adjustable via air pressure --- Bridgestone Radials, Ford Motor Co. From 1993 till present I have garaged it and driven it very little. Restoration/Upgrades resumed this year, well over $4K on the following: rebuilt Holly 650 Double-Pumper carb, engine & fuel system flush, rebuilt pedal assembly, new Hurst shifter, gear box adjust, rebuilt front brakes, new fuel tank, new headliner and reupholstered visors, driver seat repair (NOTE: front seats are custom Cobeau seats which could use reupholstering -- ask me about great options for getting this done!). Receipts to prove all of the above. 'Stang has been garaged for most of the last 27+ years, so the paint is in very good condition. Rear bench seat is original. Any reasonable offer considered. Payment Terms: PayPal, major Credit Cards, personal or biz check; sorry, NO CASHIERS CHECK -- NO MONEY ORDER. Vehicle runs great but, like all high-performance cars, this pony needs TLC. Luckily, parts and service are easy to come by, and it's an easy car to work on! Sold as is. Thanks and happy bidding!
