Up for grabs is a 1939 Chevrolet 4 Door Sedan that has been sitting under a shed for the past few years and used as a prop at a photography studio. As you can see, there is no engine or transmission, and the paint job is very poor. However, the body appears to be straight and the glass good. This vehicle will need to be towed from it's present location (Odessa, Texas) and before this, the tires will need to be aired up. Buyer is responsible for picking up this vehicle. Basically, I noticed some small rust areas on the running boards, but nothing cancerous. The body and frame (what I could see) appear very solid and rust free. Odessa is in Southwest Texas and its climate is very dry, so rust issues really don't exist in this part of Texas. On Dec-03-11 at 20:38:02 PST, seller added the following information: Ok, I have worked on my Chevy all day cleaning it out and have some additional information to share with everyone: First, after taking a better look at the tires, I determined that they were beyond hope. So I went ahead and spent money on 4 new tires (Falken 195/60 R14). So, the winning bidder won't have to do any work on getting this automobile ready for transport. It's ready to roll! Second, I noticed that passenger front windshield and driver side window (front and rear) did have cracks in them. The glass is intact, but they are cracked. I apologize for this. Hopefully what I spent on new tires today will make up for this. Third, regarding the chassis and suspension. The front assembly appears to have been replaced with a disc brake system. The rear is drum brakes with a very heavy duty leaf spring assembly and solid axle. Just shoot me a note with a valid email address and I can send you all more pictures. Good luck.
