Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is the result of when good love goes bad. Ive owned this car for awhile and was going to make a driver out of it, yet have just run out of steam, time, energy, and desire to do so. So, being there is a butt for every seat, could you be this car's butt? You might. I have two, now going to be three Mercury projects going on, and one being a 51 coupe on a 77 Olds chassis that I NEED to get driver worthy before snow comes. So, tell ya some more about this car? Sure will. This is a 50 Ford tudor, with vin matching title. This car supposedly was a well known show car in the Minnesota area in the 1980s. The previous owner tried to research some history on it, as did I, but came up with nothing. It has an OLD KKOA sticker on it's quarter window, and had Minn tags from 1950 (matched pair) so I can imagine those would be for "show car effect". This car is truly badass, but NOT a show car anymore and would take some considerable block sanding, etc, to get it in to gloss. This car has very little surface area that has not been modified in some sort or other. Here is a brief rundown of mods. Top chopped approximately 4" with leaned B pillars. Rear window laid down just perfectly, that's what made me buy this car....the shape of the roof is perfect. All glass is installed and functioning (drivers side needs some track adjustment) Hood corners are rounded, and all emblems shaved, as is trunk lid and side trim. Molded in '47 Olds grill, frenched 54 Mercury headlights, frenched stock tail lights done the right way with just the lenses frenched in....not those dumb buckets you buy nowadays. Shaved door handles (reach through vent window, no poppers installed) Lowered with proper wide white bias plys (Broadway) and spinner caps. Fenders are welded to cowl and rocker, as is quarter panel, and upper quarter seam has been removed, filled and smoothed. All garnish moldings are cut down, most installed, doors are not as they are a pain in the butt with a leaned B pillar and I have not had time and patience at the same time lately. Interior consists of a carpet out of my old 51 Mercury which fits OK, not great, very nice low buckets from a 60s Ford, done in two tone black and red. Moving on to the mechanicals it's got a 350/350 setup, removed from my '77 shortbed C10 I parted ways with when the body rotted out, this drivetrain MOVES, I hate to part with it. All the mechanicals are done, wiring harness is a Painless and all new, car is all 12v, custom driveshaft installed connecting to stock rear. No exhaust on the car yet, I am hoping to get to it one evening this week. So, this drivetrain hasn't run since about 6 months ago in my old truck but had great oil pressure, ran smooth, and never overheated so I am confident this will be a runner with no issues. New fuel line and brake lines/hoses. I took the brake master cyl out of my 77 C10 and put that in here as the Ford master cyl usually sucks, but it's still there bolted to the frame if you want to go back to that awful setup. So, as of right now, that's what she is, and that's what she's being sold as. If I get some exhaust on and get her running I am not going to jack the price up. I am not trying to get rich off of this car and beat the pennies out of someone's bank account, I am just trying to move this to someone who will actually finish it off so I can get on to my Merc projects. This car is sold as is, where is, with no warranty, and I have never had it on the road so I am sure there are bugs and kinks to work out. Feel free to ask any and all questions! Thanks for looking!
