Well Ive decided to sell my TR4,Ill probably regret it because it has been a blast to own and drive. Attracts a crowd anywhere I go. Beautiful lines, nice driver, sexy vehicle. Previous owner performed a frame off restoration about 12 years ago, it then recieved a fresh repaint 6 years ago,1985 Jaguar British Racing Green(metallic). The car runs and drives well,ignition has been upgraded to Pertronix,carberators have upgrated to Weber 40 DCOE side drafts. There is only one aera of rust on the entire car,under the battery tray,its minor but I am trying to be honest. The rest of the car is rust free,floorboards,chassis and body. All gauges,lights and wipers work as they should. Other upgrades include an expensive Moto-Lita steering wheel,period specific fogs,stainless steel luggage rack(not on),accessory engine oil cooler(not connected),car cover,original spoke wheels with spare,new convertable top,tonno cover. This car has the rare and desireable factory installed overdrive, giving it 7 forward gears. It has a 4 speed manual synchromesh transmission and the Laycock Overdrive unit giving it overdrive in 2nd through 4th gears. Overdrive.shifting occurs on the steering column. The seats could use a reupholstering and the tranny could use a rebuild(it occassionally grinds between 3nd and 3rd). The car is a driver not a concourse car. It will be missed greatly, but I dont use it enough anymore. Its time for someone to enjoy it. Paint is very nice,not perfect but very nice. It is metallic paint, which cannot be appreciated from the pics.Come and inspect it!! Good Luck Bidding! Happy Holidays. Ive had some requests for pics of the engine,seats,and undercarriage. The vehicle is currently in storage making pics very difficult especially ones of the undercarriage. Space is very limited and an ultra wide angle lense would have been better but I dont have access to one. Hope the pics help. I have removed the reserve ,making this a NO RESERVE auction!
