Body- 1928 Ford Coupe Chopped 5 inches back in the 60’s Stock boxed frame with cross supports. 4 inch Channel 1932 Ford grill shell (REAL) Electric fan with REAL 32 Ford grill shell reversed as shroud. VW bus steering box Coker tires - NEW 6.70-15 firestone 3.25 inch wide white walls. 1940 Ford front brakes Lights work, tailpiece is from the hood of a 59 Ford truck. Super bell I beam axle 4-inch drop. Rear is 8.8 Ford limited slip with 355 gears Knee action front shocks Shifter is a 1932 32 cal Smith and Wesson All steel and real. Plexiglas front windshield. Engine- Rebuilt (100 miles ago) 1957 Oldsmobile 371 Golden Rocket J/2 package. S/n568929 Heads are correct J/2 # 16 castings Correct tumor oil pan. 30 over, new cam, bearings, oil pump, seals, pistons, timing chain, water pump, valves, seats, rings, rockers, rocker shafts, new balancer. Offenhauser finned valve covers and valley pan. Offenhauser intake is very old and rare and in perfect shape. It’s not a new repop. Mallory distributor is also rare and runs Pertronics ignition. Carbs are Rochester 2g with front fuel inlets, progressive linkage and aluminum scoops. 1958 371 Glass fuel pump. Transmission is the stock Jetaway, shifts good. Engine has about 100 miles on it. Good oil pressure and no over heating. VERY STRONG! THIS IS A VERY RARE ENGING AND WAS A BIG DEAL IN THE HOT ROD, SPEED AND CUSTOM WORLD. Most people have never seen or even heard of the Oldsmobile 371 J/2 Golden Rocket. It makes 415 Torque and 312 HP before the speed parts!
