This is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS that most likely came with a 375HP/396 big block, 4 speed manual transmission, 12 Bolt 3.73:1 Posi-Traction Rear End, rear multi-leaf springs, console gauges, Tic-Toc-Tach, Optional Black Houndstooth deluxe interior and upholstery, and vinyl top. The engine and transmission were pull out and are long gone.This auction is for the ROLLING CHASSIS PROJECT with extra parts, including the factory SS Hood, an additional SS hood, a fiberglass hood, a rear fiberglass trunk lid, factory trunk lid, and two rear spoilers and everything else you see on the pictures.The rear end was recently refreshed and painted with new bearings and seal. New rear shoes, rear drums resurfaced, new hardware springs and cylinders.Trunk pan and rear light panel were recently replaced.The Protec-O-Plate is long gone. Information comes from the VIN and Trim Tag. The rear end was verified when it was open.You can notice in the pictures the Big Block Heater Core, 12 bolt rear end, the multi-leaf springs. It also have a factory 3/8 fuel line.The Houndstooth Deluxe interior matches with the trim tag info. The vehicle roll out the factory painted Corvette Bronze.This is a piece of history that needs a new home. This car have a lot of potential but it NEEDS WORK and a FULL RESTORATION. Floor pans are rusted, will need new quarter panels, etc.Please do your own research. Without the additional Protect-O-Plate information I cannot garantee a 100% that this was an actual SS 375HP/396.
