**A TRUE AUCTION, WITH NO RESERVE AND a $1 OPENING BID~!** iA beautiful, super rare, two-owner 1958 Volvo PV 444, a rare split-window coupe, the predecesor of the later PV544 models. This is a super-cool, unique early Volvo with 92K original miles, and it runs and drives like so. Bone stock, as pictured. Original B16 4 cyl engine runs GREAT, as it should with such low miles. Always starts up well and idles very smoothly. NO smoke out the tailpip from running rich or any other issues. Always driven on Premium with fual additive to protect the valvetrain. Runs and drives very well, with NO noises, leaks or mechanical issues. Nice quiet exhaust system, with NO manifold or pipe leaks, yet still has a nice mellow throaty sound. Stock original SU dual carburetors are well synchronized and idle nicely, with no adjustments needed. New water pump, brand-new battery and rblt brake master. 4-spd Manual transmission works well into all four and reverse gears, without any grinding or chatter. Clutch works well and does not slip or chatter. The body of this Volvo is in remarkable condition for a car of this vintage. It has refinished once, in the same original color. Absolutely NO RUST on the chassis, floorboards, rocker panels, trunk floor, fenders, quarter panels, doors or hood. Small dented area in the back where some knucklehead parked too close, bumped it and left ( nice! but at least our insurance co paid us fairly). Thus the title. The interior is very nice, with perfect, BEAUTIFUL two-tone off white and red leatherette upholstery. NO rips, tears or splits in the upholstery. Professionally -done headliner, completely redone in stock off-white perforated-leatherette material redone recently. Original radio. Nicely done door panels, which accent the cleanliness of the interior even more. Beautifully sculpted all-metal early dash. Original hupcaps with its original beauty rings. Full-size original spare and jacking tool and wrench. Overall, a super-nifty ultra Classic, guaranteed to turn heads anywhere it goes! It is being listed here with a ONE DOLLAR opening bid and NO RESERVE. Personal, business or C.C advances may be utilized, but MUST clear funds prior to any transportation arrangements. Another alternative is a bank wire transfer to our local CHASE Bank branch in San Mateo. It expedites the process considerable and will allow us to make immediate transportation arrangements.
