Vehicle Detail

Ok everybody. Let me first start off by saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with this bike except the low beam went out on it last week. I haven't fixed it yet as if it doesn't sell I'll buy the bulb and winterize it. I'm selling this for my brother in law because he doesn't have an eBay account. He wanted a sportbike (probably because I had a GSXR) as his first bike and I talked him out of it. I learned on an old Suzuki GN 250 and told him he shouldn't buy a sportbike as his learner bike. His parents also wouldn't pay the insurance sooooo....... we bought this. It's one of the knock off brands but it was a perfect learner. I'm 300 lbs and the fastest I got it to was about 73 mph (with a tail wind). The speed limits out here on the highway are 60 mph so it was never really driven hard except with me when I drove it home for him. It is a twin cylinder so it has enough power to cruise at highway speeds and it's surprisingly very comfortable. Most of those Japanese bikes might be luck to get to 60 mph because the 250s are single cylinders, used mostly for routine farm maintenance and farm roads. This is a twin and is very responsive. Everything on the bike is in km, it's like this because it is a knock off brand. You'll notice in the pics the "mileage" is 3909. 3909 km converted to miles is 2429. When he bought the bike it had 2178 km on it. On the title that the winning bidder will get it states 2178 "miles", mainly because everything in the US here is based off that system. Since owning the bike it has received one oil change about 400 km ago. The tires are in excellent shape and still have enough for another whole riding season. There are no dents, or scratches on the bike, it was never dropped. He had a close call in some gravel once but the bike never fell. He thanked me later for that one, said if he had got a sportbike it would've been toast. The gas mileage runs anywhere from 55 mpg up to the highest achieved was about 62 mpg (thats being converted from km to actual mpg). Shipping of a motorcycle is kind of a pain so I'm not throwing any shiping companies up here. I believe the weight of the bike is right around 400 lbs. FedEx freight is probably your best option, might want to give them a call and see if they will ship it. It needs to be palletized I think but again give them a ring to determine shipping. The bike is located in area code 99301. I can deliver anywhere up to 100 miles for free or meet you there. I've sold a couple of my past vehicles here on ebay before, a 1996 mustang quite some years ago and my KTM Superduke motorcycle about 18 months ago. Since I'm a private seller I prefer either cash or paypal. This bike is cheap enough that you shouldn't need a loan for it. Brand new it costs around $3100 I think back in 2006. I'm starting the auction at $800 and where it goes from there then so be it. If you are getting a loan then cash what you need and send it via paypal. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the bike and I still drive it to and from school just for the great gas mileage. You can text me at Five Zero Nine Five Three One Four Four Seven Zero and I can text you a pic of the new mileage on the bike. It snowed a bit yesterday but is in the 50s today so I'm thinking of taking it on a little cruise. The purpose of this mainly is to show you it does not have any issues and is just a turn key and go bike. It''s carbureated so I usually let it warm up a couple minutes with the choke about 1/2 way since it's in the 40s and 50s here now but in the summer when my bro in law was riding, no choke was even needed, just start and go. He worked on the farms all summer so it just went from the house, to the tractor yard about 20 miles every day and an occasional cruise just to ride. All the country roads up here are 50 and 55 mph roads. The winner of the bid can either text me or send me a message via the eBay messaging system on how he/she wants to title to be delivered. If the winner is a long ways away I will ship the title via certifed express mail and it WILL REQUIRE SIGNATURE. If the buyer is close and plans to meet or pick it up I'll just hang on to it and give it to you in person. I think I've been as detailed on here as possible. The bike is up for sale locally so I reserve the right to end early. Again any questions please txt me Five Zero Nine Five Three One Four Four Seven Zero. This bike is perfect for someone who has a bit of a commute and is looking to save HUGE on gas or is great for just a learning bike ... OR BOTH! Thanks much!
