1968 Triumph Bonneville

Offered for sale is our just completed 68 Bonneville, I picked up this low mileage matching numbers motorcycle a few years ago from the original owner who had kept it stored in his basement for over 25 years, he intimated that it had been completely rebuilt prior to storage (given the condition of the motor I have no reason to doubt his word), thats the good news, the bad was that he also chopperized it sometime in the early seventies with 4" over tubes and a wild paint job, so we took it down to the frame and started there with paint then we cleaned and polished every nut bolt and component prior to reassembly we also put a mild custom paint job on the tins using high end German paints (Mipa) in British Racing Green,  I reassembled using all the original components  with the exception of new fork tubes, gaitors, and levers, I also used a set of handlebars I had in the shop from a X75 Hurricane and a set of large diameter TT pipes with shorty mufflers and recovered the seat.  The original chrome components are mostly in good condition but there is some pitting on the headlight bucket (the bike looks great as per the photos), rear fender and rear wheel, this bike runs as it should given the re-build and goes down the road and stops straight and true but it will need a front tire due to some dry rotting on the sidewalls (the rear has plenty of tread but given the age I would replace both of them).A little about us,   Bulldog Moto Works is a small custom and restoration shop located in Beacon, N.Y. specializing in vintage motorcycles, we offer machine shop and welding services along with frame, exhaust building and paint.Please do not hesitate to ask any questions either in writing or feel free to call the shop at 845-440-8355As always shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but we will help any way possible (we also have someone we work with that we can recommend)Anyone with less than 10 positive feedbacks must contact me prior to bidding  On Nov-24-11 at 05:49:06 PST, seller added the following information: I do have a clear title in handOn Nov-27-11 at 11:46:02 PST, seller added the following information: I relocated the coils this morning to their original position under the tank (it is to late in the auction to add the picture) and this is a matching number motorcycle.
