The Datsun 240Z is becoming harder and harder to find. This fine example only has 76k miles on it and is in excellent mechanical condition. (Even the clock works and keeps good time.) To be crystal clear on the operating condition of the car, it is ready right now to drive an enjoyable trip across the country on a whim. The car retains its original dash and it is PERFECT. That alone to the Z enthusiast should speak volumes. Here is a chance to get one of the last “good ones.” I am the second owner of this car. It was originally purchased from an individual who had it stored in a garage undriven from 1984 until 2008 when I bought it. It has lived in my garage since then with an extensive list of work done. (I have receipts totaling over $10k for the reconditioning of this vehicle.) Mechanical work was done by Tidewater Z in Poquoson, Virginia. A short listing of some (but not all) of the repairs/replacements made: New brakes/calipers/shoes/master cylinder/wheel cylinders New hoses throughout (Rubber doesn’t last 40 years.) New water pump New fuel pump New aluminum triple core radiator New tie rods/ball joints New Tokiko shocks/struts and springs (Car lowered ½”) New electronic ignition New Targa exhaust New ignition coil Interior has been redone with new black vinyl Seats recovered (Driver seat had all foam replaced.) Motorsports Center Console Centerpiece added Konig Rewind 15x7 Rims Goodyear Eagle GT 215x60-15 (only 7k miles on tires) Motorsports fiberglass bumpers (front and rear) Front air dam Rear spoiler Fiberglass fender flares Entire vehicle painted two years ago (Garage kept) Sony AM/FM/CD/MP3 Stereo This car as been very much loved by me however, as I get older and my time gets committed elsewhere I’m finding less and less time to drive it. Time to pass this polished gem on. I even have the 1972 sales brochure from the dealer. As you can see, I got a little carried away with pictures.
