llklouzek Store At auction is a 1955 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 2-door hardtop. It comes with a 324 cubic in V8 and 4 barrel carb. The transmission is a column shift 4 speed Hydramatic. The engine is locked up but reason is unknown. Included with car is a 2 barrel Olds Rocket engine with a Hydramatic transmission, which is from either a 54 or 56 model. This engine is on a wooden stand with all the wiring in place. Last owner said this engine would start, but this owner has not tried it. Also included is yet another Hydramatic transmission but it has a smaller bell housing.Car was last licensed in 1985. The sheet metal is straight except for a small crease in the right quarter panel. Body side chrome is mostly good. The interior chrome is in good shape. Front fenders are rusted on the lower rear. Rust on both rockers and front of both quarters. Very rear of trunk floor is rusted. Some small rust spots on both front corners of the hood. Interior is all there, but needs redone. Driver door glass is good. Passenger door side glass and vent window are there but broken. Windshield is good, but starting to fog a little. Back glass had been shattered and removed from car.Car comes with 4 15" spinner wheel covers and there is also an extra set of standard wheel covers.Odometer reads 3337, unknown if it is 103337 or 203337. Car has been parked for 25 years so my guess is 103337, but mileage is truly unknown.All in all you are getting 1 car, 1 extra engine, 2 extra trannies, and a great project. 55 Chevys are hard to come by............step up to something different.Title is clear Missouri title.Contact me for pick up arrangements.
