This 1995 Mercedes Benz E-Class diesel is the perfect car for your high school or college age child or for your daily driver for running around town. It is the last of a breed when Mercedes were still built like a tank with a very high safety rating. I am the second owner of this car and I've been driving it for 5 years. I have maintained it impeccably and it still drives good and looks good. This is not a showcar, but it is a good looking workhorse car. Everything works. The engine runs great and gets 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The engine has a slight vibration at idle because the injector pump pushes a little too much diesel fuel into the number 4 cylinder. This is a condition I was told by my mechanic and the Mercedes dealer will not harm the engine and would not be worth repairing (a new injector pump is over $2,000). It is not expected to worsen. The engine runs very smooth at all speeds. The transmission shifts very smoothly. The air-conditioning and heat system works perfectly. The power seats, power sunroof, power windows and radio with cassette and 6 disc CD changer all work as they should. The car does have some cosmetic issues. The Azure blue metallic paint is rare and all original. There are some deep scratches here and there and the front of the hood and around the grille and headlamps has numerous small chips. I have used matching touch up paint to mitigate the scratches, but they are there. There is no rust. There are a couple of spots in the carpet on the rear "hump" where the previous owner had a telephone or other devise mounted to the floor and there is an area about 2 inches long down low on the driver's seat-back where the MB tex upholstry has worn away. There are a few hairline cracks in the wood on the console and the dash is perfect. The windshield was replaced by the original owner due to a crack. The replacement windshield is aftermarket, not OEM. The "y. daimler" sticker on the windshield is also aftermarket. The car has a trailer hitch the original Owner installed. I have never towed a trailer. TERMS: Successful bidder must complete the transaction with a minimum $500 deposit or payment in full through PayPal within 24 hours of close of bidding followed by a cashier's check to be received no later than 7 days after close of bidding. The deposit is non-refundable. If the buyer does not complete the transaction, seller will provide negative feedback and Ebay will be notified. There is no warranty either expressed or implied. All costs associated with viewing and/or inspecting the vehicle shall be borne by the buyer. The cost of shipping the vehicle to the buyer shall be borne entirely by the buyer. The seller agrees to assist the buyer by cooperating to make reasonable arrangements for shipping the vehicle from it's current location.
