Car had a service completed 11/4/2011. It's running great. I would describe this MGA as a nice driver. The restoration was completed in 2007. It was a frame off restoration. I've owned the car since 1999. The battery is in the engine compartment because I never replaced the battery rack underneath. The old rack was removed. I replaced the SU carbs with a Weber. The original carbs are in good condition. The original steering wheel and dash are also in good shape. A new black convertible top was ordered Friday, 11/11/11. One of the side curtains is damaged but operable. I also replaced the points with an electronic ignition. The engine number stamp is gone. To my knowledge it is the original. The engine and transmission were rebuilt. The passenger door needs adjusting, but works fine. Brake fluid blistered the paint on the engine shelf. the fluid wasn't washed off soon enough. Overall, this is a fun, reliable and pretty antique. This vehicle is being advertised locally. Seller reserves the right to cancel auction.
