Vehicle Detail
General Comments: LOADED! 4WD / 4X4, Backup camera, Armorlid Tonneau hard cover, power locks/windows, cruise, 6 CD player, & more--lots of accessories! Color is the much desired metallic Magnetic Gray paint with a gray interior & silver trim. This truck's sticker price was over $32,000 and with accessories was around $33,000--get ready to save some money. Kelly Blue Book suggests a private party price of $32,620 (very good) and a TRADE-IN value of $29,545 (very good), $28,645 for only "good"... Talk about a truck that holds its value! No reason to buy a new one if you want to save thousands and still have a practically new truck! I bought this truck brand new in Oct 2009 from a Toyota dealer in MD. I've owned it for 2 years and have had 0 mechanical or electrical problems. It has been properly serviced by local (Virginia) Toyota dealerships only and I do have all the records. Look at the pics & descriptive comments below, and if you can deal with a few minor scratches you'll pretty much have after a few trips to the grocery store, you can have yourself an awesome truck for much less than a new one! Why I'm Selling: One, I barely drive as the miles prove--will have less than 7,500 miles for the new owner (still driving it to the bus stop). Aside from a few longer trips, I pretty much only drive it to a park and ride parking lot each day and hop on a bus--it gets about 3 miles of driving a day... Two, I just got the news that it is time to deploy again and it is just silly to make payments on such a wonderful truck for over a year with no one to drive it. Bottomline, the truck needs someone who will actually drive it... Add-ons: * Toyota OEM Parts installed by Dealer - 1) Foldable Roof Rack <$500> for carrying stuff when you need to, no wind noise when you don't. 2) Front Skid Plate <$260> for underbody protection. 3) Rubberized undercoating <$200> of metal parts (yes, silly waste of money probably, but at the least the protection is there and you didn't pay for it. =) All total, almost $1000 of dealer/OEM accessories. * Firestone Destination All Terrain Tires - took off the crappy OEM tires right away and put on one of the top rated A/T tires available (check Tirerack.com). Wet traction is much better and I had no problems getting around during "Snow-megeddon" over the last 2 winters while several of my neighbors were stuck in their driveways. <$700> * Smittybilt Step Bars - installed these to help actually use the roof rack. <$400> * ArmorLid Tonneau Cover - black ABS hard cover with 2 locks and interior light. <$600> * TOTAL - about $2,700 of nice, sensible add-ons to make the vehicle perform, protect and/or operate better. Again, if you planned to add these to a new one, you're about to save a lot of dough! Condition: Overall, the truck is in excellent condition. All of the electronics work and the mechanicals are well serviced. The interior is pretty much like new...I doubt you will find a 2 year old car as clean. The exterior has a few scratches, mainly due to inconsiderate people in parking lots. See the pics, but there are a few small door scratches/rubs and a couple of scratches on the tailgate. The only issue this truck has that you would not find on a 2 month old car are on the roof...from the first time I loaded a canoe... Like an idiot I didn't put a blanket or something on the roof and the canoe made contact while loading a few times. While no one (unless you're an NBA center) can see them, there are a few minor dings on the roof from the incident--again, see pics for details. They could probably be popped out quickly, but as they are pretty much invisible to daily use, I don't think it is even worth doing...especially if you plan on using the roof rack in the future as well! On Nov-14-11 at 16:39:07 PST, seller added the following information:Just a few additional notes due to some good questions about the vehicle: 1) The vehicle has never been smoked in. 2) The tires have almost the same mileage as the truck--I had the dealer switch them out as I took delivery of it.
