Vehicle Detail
This car is a true survivor and is 100% stock. It has the original 262 cu straight 8 cylinder engine with automatic transmission. The car was driven into a large garage 32 years ago and was untouched for all these years. I decided to restore it mechanically to drive it. I squirted WD 40 in ea cylinder to make sure nothing would seize. Then I did the following- brakes lines replaced, master and break cylinders rebuilt, new shoes. bought rebuilt carb ( original was gummed up with old gas) new sparkplugs and wires installed new rotor, points, and condensor and distributer cap installed new hoses installed new fan belt installed gas tank drained and flushed, bought 10 gal of regular gas, added lead substitute Bought and installed a new 6volt battery, inserted the key, pushed the start button, and in 3 cranks of the engine it fired right up and ran smooth. Drove it around town for a few days put stable in the tank and parked. Last ran 2010. lost key need a new one made I have the rear back up light, side mirror, and antenae saved 6 volt battery now dead and needs replacement passenger door sticks has good tires Was rustproofed back in 1952 and appears to be the main reason the car body is sound. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping expense. The buyer is responsible for all tax, custom, inspection fees expense. needs body work but is sound. There is only one spot on the car with bondo. There is a circular 6" diameter spot just above the left rear tire. There is a crack in the rocker panel that needs to be addressed. The car is sold " as is ". There is no warranty Questions call Rick at 262-339-7767
