A rare find for the well informed buyer. This late production Pagoda presents the opportunity to own a complete and unmolested vehicle in original condition. Deviations from delivery include full stainless steel exhaust, Bosch 3 point seat belts, new German square weave woolen carpeting, period correct Bosch 7 inch lens and halogen bulb upgraded lighting kit, quartz movement retro fit clock and correct 6 1/2 inch light alloy wheels. Professionally appraised at $44,000. This US spec vehicle was delivered to it's original owner in Southern California. It was bought by it's second owner and moved to Reno in 1986 where it underwent mechanical and cosmetic restoration at the Harrah's Museum Restoration facility including a high quality respray (original invoices are available). As the third owner from 2002 I've undertaken various mechanical upgrades detailed in the appraisal as follows:- Head rebuild including new valve guides,seals and gasket.New oil pump and pressure valve.All new rubber fuel lines.New vapor tank.New mono valve and heater controls.Fuel injection pump re- calibration.New engine and transmission mounts.Complete tear down and rebuild of original transmission.Complete replacement of clutch including slave cylinder and hydraulic hoses.Replacement of rear axle boots.New OEM rear axle sub frame mountNew OEM two piece drive shaft w/ center support bearing. Cosmetic imperfections to be noted:-Paint is an older high quality re-spray in original enamel (3568 signalrot) with evidence of many hours of wet sanding but shows signs of minor thinning in a few areas. Small dent in driver side door ( round aprox 1 inch diameter). Minor crease on trunk lid (aprox. 1/2 inch) both could be removed by paintless dent repair.Dent in driver side rear bumper. (will require replacement or re chrome)Some discoloration and very minor pitting in some of the smaller chrome pieces ( door top trim, trunk trim and rear light bezels)Pitting in chrome trim on the front edge of the hard top roof.
