Vehicle Detail

This HSE is the nicest one I've ever seen. The Navy Blue is the best color for this car, and I am not a fan of blue usually (see the pics). The leather looks new, the paint and trim look new. The car has been fully serviced and always garaged or covered. It shows. The pics do not do it justice. This is one clean Land Rover. It runs and drives perfectly. The stereo is excellent, the nav works well, sunroof is great, and it has a trailer hitch, if you do need to trailer something with it. The AC blows cold, the seats will warm you up, and it really handles rain or even snow (rare where we are) like you would not believe. Sticker on this vehicle was $86,000 in 2004. It shows when you drive it. It is without a doubt the most comfortable and powerful SUV on the planet. They have not changed the body or chassis on this car to the present, though they did change the engine to a ford when ford bought Land Rover in 2006. A showroom 2011 is indistinguishable except for some small trim pieces. We have had this car since 2007, since it had 20,000 or so miles on it, and it has not required any repairs (other than below) the whole time, though we are now using the warranty to fix a slowly leaking coolant tank. One of the AC lines had a hole rubbed in it by a loose bracket caused by an error by the dealer during an oil change, so we replaced that hose and serviced the AC in 2010, so it is all new, but it never failed to work. I put springs on this one instead of the air ride suspension, because one of the air bags started leaking - however I have the air bags and if you want them, the warranty will cover the leaking one. My experience with Land Rovers is if you get a good one, you never need work. This one has proven to be a good one. It has brand new tires and brake pads, had regular service, and the only caveats are it needs a windshield as it has a crack in it (see pics). You can get the heated one for around $600 installed, or a non heated for $400. In Texas, we'd get the non-heated but as we have to have a truck now that we live on a ranch, and are selling it, I did not want to make that choice for the buyer. We have also used it to carry some things (wife is a realtor and its her car), so the rear cargo area does have some slight scuffs and the like, nothing major. One of the wheels is missing the landrover badge center cap ($20 item). Power steering, brakes, windows, seats, sunfoof, mirrors, NAV, stereo, halogen lights, heated seats, heated windshield, auto, full airbags all around, (never deployed - it has not suffered any wrecks or body repairs since we have owned it, and I looked it over really well before buying it and I do not believe it has ever had any damage or repairs). If you want a great car, with a warranty, at 20% of the price of an identical new one, this is it. The warranty is good for another 18000 miles and until december of 2012, and can be extended beyond that. It is a full bumper to bumper named exclusion policy (in other words, EVERYTHING is covered except the things they expressly say are not, which are basically only manufacturer's identified regular maintenance items in the owners manual, tires, wiper blades, body work and brake pads). It is the CARMAX extended max care warranty, all the details are on their site. ** i have a trade-in offer from the truck dealer (i need a truck now for the ranch) is at $15k, (I had one at $16k, i should have probably traded it then) so that may work out better. I reserve the right to end the auction early. ** Also i had a question on the springs, they are Arnott spring replacement kits front and rear. You can get a patch to clear the 'air suspension' warning that occasionally shows, but i did not consider it worth the $100 or so bucks i recall it being.
