Up for bids is a classic 1986 Nissan 300ZX non-turbo with automatic transmission and T-Tops. Great running car that is easily restorable!!! Exterior: The car could use a good paint job, but has solid body and as far as we can see - no rust. Little paint chips and knicks on the car that is normal for a 25 year old car that was not garaged with original paint. There is some paint chips by one of the flip lights as well as by the gas door. There are a few minor dings, but the body is straight overall. There is a white line on the driver side that looks like a slight crease which has been there since we've had the car (8 years). Not sure what that entails as to correcting... may be able to be buffed out. Also on the passenger side pillar post the paint is "spidering" (see close up pic). The door molding strip on the passenger side is present, but needs to be replaced, as well as the passenger door mirror glass (housing is there, just need the glass). Ground effects are present and in tact including the sport wing. T-tops do not leak as far as we can tell. No cracks in windshield or t-top glass. Rear wiper does need a new blade. Although this is a non-turbo Z, we upgraded the wheels with the Turbo Z wheels. The wheels are true and straight, but do need to be refinished as there is some wear in between the spokes. This car has a Monza stainless steel exhaust which was custom built to the car by a 300 Z specialty mechanic. Flip up lights are in working condition. The fog lights bulbs do need to be replaced. There is a chip on the passenger tail light on the inside near the license plate area where you can barely see. The running light bulbs need to be replaced. The hydraulics will need to be replaced on the hood as well as the hatch as you need to hold it up (or have someone hold it for you). Interior: This Z has the original factory interior with no cracks in the dash, which is rare especially in Florida! The interior is in good shape overall. The lid to center console may need to be replaced (rough spot on it). This is not a 2+2 model, so there is no back seat. The carpet in the hatchback area needs to be replaced as it is stained. The front carpets are in fair-good condition. No rips or tears in the seats. Analog dash. The speedometer is in working condition, but the odometer stopped and has been parked since. Estimated mileage is 140,000. This car is installed with Sirius XM Kenwood CD/stereo and also includes a 1200 watt amp with 2 12" speakers in a box as shown. Sirius XM subscription will be required if you would like to keep, but regular radio and CD player both work. There are 2 (non-stock, high quality) speakers in the doors and 2 near the hatch area which rate at 150 watts each overall. Mechanical: Strong running original 3.0 V6 motor runs and has plenty of power. The transmission was replaced in 2005 and has about 40,000 miles on it. This car was barely driven as I had another vehicle and did not want to run this too much as I originally wanted to restore it. Mechanically the power steering pump has a small leak and the A/C needs to be rebuilt (last time the A/C ran, the mechanic put a charge in the line and it held for a few minutes, and the line to the condenser blew). This indicates to me that the lines need to be replaced as well as the condenser. Brand new battery within the last few weeks. New alternator within the last year. Both the battery and the alternator are above what this car requires due to the amp in the car. Recent rear brakes were installed and tires are at about 75% tread. It may need a tune up and an oil change as it has been sitting for a few months and not started until just recently.
