Here we havea 1956 Ford F800 Big Job - ex fire engine. This truck has been out of service for about two years. It was purchased new by the Fisher Illinois Fire Department. I have removed the rear tank and apparatus, also the pump which was mounted on a platform on the front of the truck and was driven from the crankshaft. Has only one rust thru area which is on the driver's side front lower fender, behind the bumper. Can be seen in the pictures. Rest of the truck is very solid and rust free, with only surface rust on the frame and inner fenders. This truck is supposed to be 8,800 actual miles and it shows it. As most small volunteer fire department trucks don't usually get many miles and are always kept inside. This would make an excellent car hauler, wrecker, or whatever you desire. I have had it running on boat gas tank, and will need fuel tank and carburetor cleaned, also will need top radiator hose and brakes bled or repaired, does have fluid in master cylinder. Also has hydra-vac--power brakes. This also has the popular tubeless 11-22-5 wheels and tires that are in good shape and are original. Also has factory tachometer. I have a 1955 F750 with the same 5 speed transmission which goes down the road at 60-65 mph easily and gets 15 mile per gallon. It has the same engine as the 1956. Fifth gear says overdrive on the knob. This truck was originally white in color has electric wipers, fresh air heater, and glass is all good.
