1962 MG Midget vin# GAN1L6058, 4cyl 1098 cc engine, 4 spd. manual trans with sliding Perspex side screens, recovered front seats in good condition, and good glass front windshield. I purchased the car approximately 30 years ago and drove it during nice weather for a few years and eventually wrapped it up in tarps and stored it under my deck. I was hoping to do a total restoration at some time in the future but 25 years later the car is still wrapped up and the restoration never happened. Time and weather have taken its toll and a restoration project like this is beyond my ability and I've other interests. I recently jumped it with a fresh battery and the engine cranks but won't start, the tires are rotted and flattened, top brittle and torn but frame is good, floors seem solid along with the frame, doors open and close without problems, there is rust but not as bad as one would think after being stored for so long. I could easily junk the car and be done with it but I know there is someone with a love of restoring old sports cars that could turn this piece of coal into a little diamond.
