Up for sale is my 1969 Mustang Convertible. VIN#9R03F173633 This is not a drive-a-way vehicle. It is a prime candidate for a overall restoration. It is a factory convertible and matching number vehicle. The numbers on the drive train all come back as a late 1968 from which I researched and found that they used late 68 engines and transmissions in the early 69s. Engine numbers C80E6015-A Intake C8AE-9425B Manual trans. Case C8 AR 706-2 RAT U1. This car has been sitting since 1987. I brought it home a few moths ago and installed a new water pump, radiator and alternator and changed the oil and filter. The motor does turn over freely and will fire but won't sustain running on its own. I believe the timing chain may have jumped a tooth as I had to move the distributor all the way to the left until it hits the intake manifold to get it to start. I disconnected the gas tank supply line from the carburetor so I wouldn't pump unknown old gas into the engine. Over all the engine seams to be strong and may or may not need a total overhaul. Again this is a car that would be a great project candidate. All glass and stainless steel trim is in great shape. This car has not been scavenged from and is all there. The top frame looks to be in all there and in tact however the top fabric is gone.
