Vehicle Detail

This bike is a show stopper! It's a 2004 Triumph SpeedMaster with 24000 miles. I'm the original owner and I am a certified motorcycle mechanic so you know this bike has been well taken care of. I'm the original owner and it kills me to have to say good bye but sometimes life gets in the way of things and right now having two bikes is a little cost prohibitive. For the price I'm selling this bike for I don't really expect it to be on the market too long, I say that because of the improvements that it has over stock. List of things I've done to the bike: -Bored the engine from 790cc's to 904cc's and increased the compression from 8.5:1 to 12.5:1(it will need premium gas because of that) -Ported and polished the head -Replaced the stock dual carb setup with a custom Mikuni HRS42 dual carb set up -Chopped rear fender -Full custom paint job by Richard Janusz (if you'd like to see more of his work www.Ryzart.com) -Lowered 1" -Converted to single seater -Full Progressive suspension -2 of 3 baffles removed from the exhaust -Black Heat wrapped headers -Pingle high flow pet cock -Custom Side mount license plate holder and break light -Front turn signals integrated into the mirrors -Rear Vizor turn signals -Custom Brass Knuckle passenger peg block off plates -Ultra Rare "Spider Web" Engine mount This bike has won 1st place in the MA British Iron Association bike show, if you buy it you can have the trophy! It rides great, has had every regular service. That being said, this is a rider's bike. By that I mean that it has 24000 miles on it and there are parts of this bike that show the kind of wear you'd expect from a 24000 mile bike. Some of the chrome is pitted, the paint on the exhaust could be touched up, the chain could be replaced in the not-too distant future, the cables could be lubed. The tires are great, breaks are great, suspension is great, battery is good, fires up quick every time. This bike is ready to roll and good to go. If you have any other questions or want more pictures feel free to drop me a line. My bike is being relisted due to non-payment by the person who won the auction the first time around. Please do not bid on this if you have no intention of actually buying it. On Oct-25-11 at 10:21:58 PDT, seller added the following information:If you're reading this you may know that this is the third time that this bike has been listed. Be assured that both times this bike has been sold the buyers backed out without paying for not because they saw the bike and decided not to pay but because of my bad luck I guess. The first guy who placed the winning bid paid the deposit and sent a check for the balance but unfortunately lost his job and requested to be released from his obligation to buy the bike, of course I let him out of the deal. The second guy was a doctor who went on vacation and decided that while on vacation he couldn't be bothered to abide by the terms of the sale. I just wanted to let everyone considering purchasing my bike know that this is not up for sale again because of anything wrong with the bike. Thanks for looking, happy bidding. On Oct-27-11 at 10:59:54 PDT, seller added the following information:Ok, so I've been getting a lot of emails asking about switching this bike back to a dual seater. I decided that due to the volume of email I'd be better off posting this in the item description. I would not recomend modifying this bike to be a dual seater. When I did the overhaul I filled in the rear seat mounting hole and painted over it so the the first thing you'd need to do is remove the rear fender, find the hole, drill it out(which might screw the paint job), retap the threads, and replace the fender. The second thing you'd need to do is buy a new rear seat and mount it to the rear fender which would cover a large portion of the paint job (just not the part that you would have screwed up while drilling). The last thing you'd have to do is remove the custom passanger peg block off plates (the ones with the brass knuckles on them), and replace them with the ugly factory passanger pegs. Look, I'll be clear on this. I know I'm selling this bike and once it's yours you are free to do anything you want to it. However let me explain something, I spent 5 months tearing this bike down and putting it back together into a rolling piece of art. If you don't like it the way it is please bid on another bike, a stock one that you can mess with until your heart's content. I might end up getting a lower selling price for saying all this but frankly I'd rather take a hit on the final selling price and see it go to someone who will appreciate it for what it is than to sell it for more to someone who just wants to take apart what I put together.
