THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! As much as it pains me to part with this beauty, bills force me to sell off some of my collection. This auction is for a RARE 1969 Honda SL350, VIN 1007298. This was a project bike that I purchased MANY years ago, and it has been in storage ever since. I got this from the original owner, who said his brother also had one and they rode them mostly in the desert, which accounts for lack of rust or decay. This bike ran when parked, has good compression, and nothing is frozen. These are very hard to find in such complete condition! Here are many of the plusses: stock exhaust pipes are complete, unsmashed, and SOLID. Taillight is complete, in like new condition. Ignition switch even works freely and comes WITH THE KEY Seat has been professionally upholstered. Switchgear and instruments are all original! Front fender and chrome mount are still on the bike! Forks are clean with no pitting. Rear brake shoes are new, as is front trials tire, tube, and footpeg rubbers. All cables work freely (though outer housings are cracked). The minuses: needs a drive chain, battery, points cover, exhaust heat shields, and side panels. Throttle cable is broken at the twistgrip, but I have a spare I will include. Rear brake pedal is slightly bent, but should be easy to straighten. Gas tank has quite a few small dents (but you’re going to repaint the whole bike anyway, right?) but is also very solid and pretty rust free inside. I cannot speculate on what it will take to get this running, maybe just a tuneup and some fresh gas (it is, after all, a HONDA). Obviously, the bike has been repainted with rattle cans, so it’s not a beauty. Again, these are hard to find in such complete condition. My intent was to do a complete resto, but I just don’t have the time. This is an excellent platform for a blast from the past, or you could probably part it out for far more than the fair opening price that I’m asking for it. We try to accurately describe the shortcomings, but look at the photos and ask questions before bidding. Don’t bid if you intend to negotiate afterward; that is not how eBay works. I did not get a title when I bought it, but I will provide a Bill of Sale. It has not been registered in many years, we just checked with CA DMV and it’s out of their system, so DMV (in CA, not sure about other states) will treat this as a new title/registration.
