I am listing this Cadillac for a friend...he has quite a few nice cars and wants to downsize his collection since he rarely drives them. This auction is for a 1949 Cadillac 4 door sedan..currently powered by an Oldsmobile V8 engine and later turbo style transmission. Engine sounds GREAT...wiring and way it was installed is very neat. Has a power shutoff setup on the firewall too. Has a Gennie style shifter. Overall the interior is really nice! Bumpers are nice too! I think it was an older restoration...my buddy bought it at an auction some time ago so we dont know too many details about it. Original guages seem to function well. I believe the suspension, front frame area on the car is original Cadillac. Color on the car is kind of a champagne/taupe with a nice darker brownish/taupe/grey top. Paint and bodywork I would call "decent driver" quality ...not 100% Pebble Beach concours, minor wave free quality..but if you want a NICE looking, driving car this is it. The last sentence was to temper unrealistic expectations...its a nice car! A couple of small rust bubbles down low on the rear fenders, I think one on each side..very small about the size of a dime...no other rust visible on the car. Looks like it has an original spare tire that is currently on the car on the passenger rear so the hubcap wouldnt work..but the original rim is in the trunk. The small piece of glass on the rear drivers side door is cracked..but its a small piece of flat glass which would be cheap to fix. If you had to buy a project 1949 Cadillac to fix up you would spend 3-5k and do all the stuff that was done to this car you will easily have 12-15k in it...mileage listed is simply to fill out Ebays listing form..true mileage is not known. Clean title in hand, currently registered...this car is for sale NO RESERVE!! TERMS: Ask all questions before you bid!
