Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my 1970 Unimog rock crawler. Will come with an extra cab that i bought to put on it. This Mog runs great and crawls absolutely wonderful. I absolutely love it and have a blast every time i take it out. The only reason I'm selling it is to get something that my wife and kids can enjoy being in it. Some crap about 110 degree and no air conditioning. It starts every time and runs at any angle. It may not get you there very fast but it will get you there. I bought it in it's stock layout and have made it a rock crawler. West Texas Offroad in San Angelo Texas did most of the work. I have the original payperwork from when it was brought to America but i never registered it. It was listed as a tractor and i've always kept it that way. here is a video link of it in action. http://youtu.be/DccfEaK06hA http://youtu.be/a3XqdFXJ4og Here is a list of things that we have done. Propane conversion from the Mog shop in Dallas Ignitor ignition system to get rid of the points 2 speed Crawler box low gear range set. Gives you a 348:1 first gear final ratio. Power Steering conversion Red Neck Ram Hydraulic assist steering setup custom made for the Unimog Willwood Brake master cylinder convertion from The Mog Shop Full roll cage Warn 12000 lbs winch along with a custom bumper. (works but not wired up.) Extended the cab back to have an extra set of seats but have not bought a rear bench seat yet Rear springs are a 2" rear TJ spring and fronts are stock rear JK springs. Made for a much nicer ride. 40" michelin tires. I have one extra wheel but no good spare. What it needs. the winch needs new power cable because i routed it wrong and melted it. Clutch needs adjustment. It works fine but if you get it hot it wants to engage just a little bit. It's got some rust and dent and scratches. Sorry I'm a rock crawler and don't really care about how pretty it is. Seats were my next thing to get so you will probably want to do the same thing. Brake slave cylinders are slowly leaking and need to be changed. A good home to have fun with because it's a very fun vehicle. If you ahve any questions please feel free to ask.
