DEAL ALERT .... NO RESERVE AUCTION ..... Up for auction we have a 1985 Honda Rebel CMX250. We are a Honda motorsports dealership & we took this motorcycle in trade here at our store recently. This bike is in good running condition & will be a great bike for the next owner. The previous owner was riding regularly, but traded in to step up to a larger bike. We have checked out & fully inspected this bike, so it appears to be ready to roll. This bike is in good shape cosmetically, especially for its age (see images). For a 25+ year old motorcycle, this Rebel is in very good condition. Please do no bid if you don't plan on paying! Bidders with less than 5 feedback, please contact us before bidding or we may cancel your bid (due to non paying bidders in past). Feel free to call with any questions or concerns to 617-275-3784. Remember, this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! Thanks and Happy Bidding! 1985 Honda Rebel Specs Enhanced with extensive chrome and stylish Harley-esque details, the 1985 Honda Rebel CMX 250 imitates the most sought-after cruiser's look -- in a miniature format. Honda's clashes with Harley-Davidson over similar styling issues gave this little bike the seal of approval among cruiser enthusiasts, but ultimately sealed its fate as well, according to the U.K.-based The Rebel Club. After only three years, the Rebels were retired until the re-emergence of the Rebel 250 in 1996. The 1985 to 1987 models remain popular around the world and have held their value remarkably well. Honda Rebel CMX 250 With its short wheelbase and low-to-the-ground construction, the Rebel 250 is both a perfect beginner bike for riders of smaller stature and a favorite of veteran riders -- there are Rebel owner's clubs around the world. Honda debuted the Rebel 250 in 1985, retired it after the 1986 model year and reintroduced it in 1996 along with a 125 cc version for the U.K. market. The last year for the Rebel 250 is 2009, but a new 2012 model is being released to Honda dealerships beginning October 2011. At the heart of the compact mini-cruiser beats a parallel twin, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with a displacement of 14.21 cubic inches, or 234 cc, synchronized by a five-speed transmission with a carbureted fuel system. Small but mighty, the Rebel 250 produces 17 hp at 8,000 rpm. and torque is13.23 foot-pounds at 5,500 rpm. The Rebel 250's double-cradle frame has telescopic forks front suspension with swing-arm shock absorber rear suspension. It features a single hydraulic front disc brake and expanding rear drum brake. The final drive is chain. The Rebel 250 weighs 309.35 lbs. dry with a seat height of 26.6 inches. Its low center of gravity lends balance to the ride at low speeds. Fuel capacity is 2.6 gallons. It has a wheelbase of 57.5 inches.
