Bidding on a 1969 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS 2-DOOR CONVERTIBLE. The engine casting number on the flat surface directly behind the water pump reads 396021F. My mechanic did an assessment of the car and found that the valve cover gaskets leak, intake manifold leaks, header collector gasket leaks, the transmission pan gasket leaks, the oil pan gasket leaks, needs a new radiator, needs new power steering pump, has body rust, no air conditioning, and no radio. Concerning the gauges under the dash, I do not know if they are original or aftermarket. I have no information on the type of rear end or the transmission other than its automatic. The convertible top functions and the car drives, but it runs hot since it needs a new radiator per my mechanic. Passenger and side window does not meet the convertible top because of deteriorated window seals. Body trim is loose. This Cutlass has the older four-wheel drum brake system. Based on my mechanic’s assessment, it obviously needs body and mechanical work before it can drive across the country or enter a car show, so bring your own hauler to get it out of here!
